I have to give them 1 star because it is the minimum, but they don't even deserve one. I bought some seats online, from current stock. I was assured by the sales person that the one pictured were the ones I was getting. After driving 8 hours to pick them up for my surprise they were destroyed!!! The car was listed as a new arrival but pictures were from 4 years ago and never updated. I told them we were coming form Florida to make sure they were good but they could care less. Well, to say the least they are not to be trusted.
I wish I had noticed these reviews before wasting my time. Small business here. Took 2 calls for them to pick up. Filled out the cc auth form, placed my order, called back to confirm receipt and got no answer. Should've know then. This morning, after realizing the part still had not arrived, we called again. "The part was bent, so we never placed the order or sent the part." This was after telling us yesterday it was on the truck already and we'd receive it today. They're either lying or just inept. Don't have time to figure out which it is.
My shop called for an AC line for an Audi. Short story is we received the correct line for a reasonable price and it was delivered. Thank you for your service Salvage Auto Supply. Admittedly it did take a few phone calls and some hold time to get the line. There was a mix up and they pulled the wrong lines from the vehicle. But because I asked for a picture of the line to match up what we needed and because they were willing to go the extra mile and provide this picture, the correct line was pulled and delivered without any wasted trips by either of us. So as a business owner myself that has not made everyone happy over the years I will say that there can be a breakdown in communication by all parties involved at any given time. As long as we get better at our jobs because of these times and not worse or stay the same, then we all deserve second chances. Make apologies when due and strive to do better. Consumers please be aware that you have a part to play in how you are treated. Employees need to realize the consumer is their livelihood. Lets both come together and make it a pleasant experience and lives will flourish because of it. Remember R E S P E C T one another. Peace out!!
Update Response to owner: From all your other FAKE REVIEWS, you mean???? This is ridiculous! I drove 1.5 hours to pick up a part they said on the phone that they had. When I showed up, their story changed! They did not even have my transmission, waste of time and gas! Also, it looks like a bunch of fake reviews on here.... every 5 star reviewer also reviewed a moving company somewhere else in the country. Obviously something fishy going on with these good reviews because they did not earn them! How can you trust a company who buys fake reviews? Wish I saw this before I tried to buy from them...
I called this morning around 8:30am in regards to a part ASAP had listed on Car-Part for my wife's 2014 Altima. I was told the part was available. I went through the process to pay via the website & called back around 11am just to confirm paperwork was received. I was advised it was & someone would contact me shortly to send photos for me to verify the part before it is shipped. Just a few minutes ago I received a call finally & was told the part is not even there & the charge on my card was voided “so I should see my money back quickly”. I’ve now wasted a full day & am no further than I was when I started. I ran a salvage yard for years - it takes someone 5 minutes to check the vehicle initially & ensure the part is there.
I called these guys a couple months ago, informing them of the part I needed and the cost. The sales person, Joe, was really nice and helpful. He went and found the exact part I needed and quoted me anywhere from 20$for just the window control switch-55$for the whole door panel. A couple weeks later I send a colleague of mine to go pick up the switch for me. He comes back and tells me that they wont honor the price and they want 35$ for the part. Infuriated I called multiple times, the phone system must have issues or they just hang up on customers... I eventually got to speak with Fernando, and, I told him of the situation. He was quite foul and irritated to my issue. In the end, he agreed to sell the part for 30$, BUT, when my colleague returned with the receipt of the cash sale, the receipt totaled 32.18. This is not a good business to buy from, granted it is a salvage yard, however, there are better places.
Called 30 min ahead, They said they have it. Came in.... it didn't even take me 5 min and I got my part in excellent condition. It was a fuel pump, but looks like brand new and even with 30 days warranty! This is the place to get used parts around Charlotte.... I'm telling ya! Brought it to tech. He installed slow guy withing 2 hours. Boom! My truck is up and running again! This Guys are quick and as Promised!.... Recommended!!!
Do not go here for anything. The workers are only there for a paycheck, they play and annoy the customers and don't take what they do seriously. Understand they sell poor parts and don't stand to their warranty. Over the phone they claim the parts are ready but upon arrival, they hit you with a "3 hour wait for the part to be pulled", plus you have to pay in advanced in for them to consider you. OBVIOUSLY they take the money and run, waste your valuable time, then you sell junk afterwords. I will never do business with Salvage Auto Supply again and would NOT recommend anybody to go here for ANYTHING.
I just left this place. The service was AMAZING. I was well greeted as soon as I walked in. Then they gave me a ride from the office to the yard where the car was. They had the exact part I needed. They were the only place that had it and at a great price. Then I asked how much they would charge to install it and they gave me an unbelievably amazing price for installation. On top of all of that the service was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
Very nice guys in my first and only experience... needed a few oddball parts for my Lexus. They went to the donor vehicles with me, helped me sort through the pile of stuff on top of what I needed and removed the required parts. Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. You do need to that the photos on the site are taken when the car first arrives so much of what's in the photo could be gone by the time you see it. The 4 parts I purchased cost me about 15% of what I'd have had to pay Lexus. Suggestion to the owners: Change your address in Google to where the retail sales office is. I'd have never found it without visiting the returns/deliveries side.
