There is little communication between the shifts. If you call at night and ask how someone did that day. You may or may not get a answer. They don’t know. But on the bright side. They keep our Mom clean, the room is clean, and she gets good food. They are nice to her and try to be helpful. It it’s the lack of communication between the shifts that is very frustrating . When I was in nursing we had to meet with the incoming shift to go over the patients that day. If they were sad, or was their BP high, did they eat, what was their mood. We were informed before we went on the floor. I may be wrong but they don’t seem to care about doing this.

It’s a pretty good place everyone is very nice and the care is good.

Not enough CNAs!! The direct care staff members (CNAs) are spread way too thin. Sometimes, there is only one CNA per hall!! Staffing seems to be a major issue. Nurses and CNAs are working extra shifts and long hours. They are very caring and try to help but oftentimes, too much to do and not enough staff members to provide optimum care.

When my mom was a resident there, she was abused by the CNA's and RN 's , even though her room was directly across from the nurse's station. Fractured neck and several bruises on her body.

Asheville nursing and rehabilitation is amazing , the nursing staff is compassionate as well as very competent. .Therapy is excellent with a great group of therapist. .Only good things to say about this facility. .
