Bryce is the most incredible physical therapist -- I can't imagine getting better care. I came to Bryce in bad shape; I'd been struggling through a year of PT at another clinic and felt like I'd had a setback. Bryce made me feel safe, and took the time to really understand what was happening with me physically, as well as emotionally how I felt about my knee + my ability to heal. He put together thoughtful exercises for me to do each week + modified or added as I grew stronger. He made sure that I was consistently building muscle + pushing at just the right amount that allowed me to be safe, while also widening my scope. Bryce also worked hard to help me build up my confidence again, which was key for me to be able to effectively rehab and get back to the activities I loved. Not only that, but Bryce shared a book that he'd been reading on the topic of pain + neuroscience that really changed my perspective and experience with respect to pain. Bryce's wholistic approach not only brought about my ability to hike, bike, elliptical, and weight lift freely, but was equally transformative in understanding my body and how to better care for myself. I feel deeply grateful to have had Bryce as a PT, and that he continues to provide care to so many others.
Bryce at Avid Physical Therapy was excellent to work with . I had a shoulder injury from a mountain biking accident and he provided an excellent assessment of condition and was able to provide advice and exercises which got me back on two wheels. He is very easy to communicate with and did a great job explaining what I had torn apart and how to get it to heal. I would highly recommend Bryce.
Bryce is a great listener and problem solver. He goes through a thorough review of your condition and works through various mechanics while watching movements, learning about pain points and then discusses a path forward to strengthening and recovery. He is extremely personable, knowledgeable and capable. And you do see results. Anyone seeking help and health with Bryce is in excellent hands. I witness my recovery from pain in the knees and no longe able to run even 5 min and I am a marathoner to getting back to beautiful long runs and just finishing a successful half marathon.
Bryce Burton is a top notch therapist and I really can't give him enough stars! I am now 18 months post-ACL surgery and am back to skiing, running, etc. without any issues thanks to Bryce's great recovery program. In addition to staying on top of trends in the PT industry and incorporating cutting edge techniques, equipment and exercises, Bryce was a great guy to spend 2x/week with throughout the pre- and post-surgery rehabilitation process.
Bryce is one of the best physical therapists I have worked with. He helped me recover from my ACL surgery, when he was at Potrero Physica; Therapy in SF. He closely worked with me to push the right amount and flexed based on my surgeons guidance. Thanks to him I could get back to running and racket sports in time, despite my busy work travel schedule. I was able to hike Mt. Fuji and complete a 5 day Patagonia trip. Would highly recommend him.
Opting for physical therapy over surgery was a good choice for me, a choice made better by Avid Physical Therapy. After dislocating my shoulder, I thought I would never return to my pre-injured agility and strength. Thanks to Bryce employing his expertise, care and coaching I was able to achieve strength and agility that now exceeds my pre-injury status. As a board member of a healthcare non-profit, I know more than my fair share of physical therapists. Avid Physical Therapy is my go-to physical therapist referral for my friends and family.
I saw Bryce for a calf strain a few years ago in San Francisco. He helped me recover quickly, and taught me what exercises/stretches I needed to be doing to avoid a future injury. I was hoping to see him for a recent injury, and was disappointed that he is no longer in San Francisco. The Denver, Colorado area is lucky to have him! I highly recommend Bryce as a physical therapist.
Highly recommend Bryce for PT. Ive never gone to PT before and Bryce immediately made me feel super comfortable with his easy-going personality and professionalism. Highly knowledgeable about the human body and runs thorough assessments. I took away lots of great exercises that helped my shoulder find relief. Thanks Bryce!
Bryce is an excellent physical therapist with an approachable, friendly demeanor. I went to him for both prehab and rehab of my left knee. Bryce got me back into skiing shape and rebuilt my confidence after a devastating injury. We miss him out here in SF!
Review for Bryce I came to Bryce with a pretty challenging situation. I’d torn my achilles for the second time different leg and I’d decided to do a non-surgical recovery. It sounds crazy but its something that happens a fair bit in Europe. It is, though, very new to America. I was pretty apprehensive about the whole thing and was afraid of making a bad decision. It’s a long process to recover from an Achilles injury and screwing it up could mean starting all over again. Bryce helped in a lot of ways. He’s just a positive guy first of all, and made me feel like we could figure this out. Then he went and started doing his own research and kept in touch with me over email. Next time I came in he’d found a good study that walked thru the non-surgical recovery step by step and modified it in ways based on his experience and expertise. He was confident we could do it and that inspired confidence in me. After that we worked at it for many months. It wasn’t always easy - at times my leg failed to improve - but each time Bryce found a solution to keep that forward progress going, whether it was new exercises, using electricity to stimulate the muscles, or something else. Physical therapy is time consuming and hard and the other thing I appreciated about Bryce is he’s a great conversationalist. We chatted about most everything and I could tell he wasn’t just making conversation, which made the sessions fun instead of grueling. And he always mixed up the exercises to keep things new and fresh. I think working that mental angle is important to keep someone motivated. Today my Achilles is in great shape and I couldn’t have got there without him. He’s a great dude and I highly recommend him if you’re trying to come back from an injury.
