Avocado Mexican Bar & Grille

Great food priced right not to hurt your wallet! Expedient wait staff. Nice authentic Mexican atmosphere along with soccer on the wide screen. I had carnitas (roasted pork) with roasted sliced onions, guacamole, lettuce, sliced jalapeno peppers, refried beans, and rice. The meal was all in heaping portions of more than I could eat so there was plenty to take home!!! The Avacado has a full menu of Mexican food to rival any competitor and serves drinks from sodas, ice tea, and coffee to a variety of beers and specialty drinks. I highly recommend a night out to include dinner at the Avocado!!!

This was only my first visit but I thought the food was decent and came out quickly. I would describe it as "traditional" Mexican food comparable to any other none chain Mexican place in town.

I was really excited to try Avocado a couple of weeks ago with my friends. And while the atmosphere and our waitress were nice, the food was just okay. I ordered a meat burrito with refried beans on the side. The burrito was odd because the lettuce and tomato that comes with the burrito were on the side and not in the burrito. Also the meat from the burrito had a lot of grease or liquid coming off of it and so I had to eat it with a fork. Our waitress also did not provide us silverware and we had to wait 5-10 minutes after receiving our food to get them. The refried beans, burrito, and chips/salsa that you get as an appetizer were mostly flavorless. While the menu was overwhelming, with at least 4 pages front and back.

Food is above average for a cookie cutter Mexican place. Service was stellar! Our waiter was just the right attentive and offered drink refills and other items at perfect times! The decor is quite nice as well. Salsa was ok... could have been a bit more spicy... but then the next review from someone else would say it’s too spicy.
