Bagel Central

I normally love Bagel Central. I tell everyone about it. I work at a school with students that come from all over the globe. But I won't be telling anyone anymore. Today I came in and ordered 20.00 worth of food and the lady behind me ordered 6.00 worth. It wasn't at all busy actually only 3 customers in the building. I waited 30 minutes for my food then asked where it was and she didn't know, said there was no food with my slip number in the kitchen. Then she comes back out and states they must have given it to the lady that was behind me. Why do they not check the slips. Then I stated nicely that I was late for work and could I just get a refund and she said she needed to find the receipt so could I come back! I had to take my lunch break at work to come back... Then I came back and she asked if I wanted my food the way I had ordered it. I also was going to get a drink and I forgot my wallet at work and couldn't get it. You would think after all this it would be free. Very very disappointed.

Best breakfast sandwich in Bangor! Great fresh bagels with vegan/gluten free options. Lunch menu is good too.

Obviously people will feel the need to point out these are not real bagels aka New York style. But whatver they are, they are DELISH! And the place is sunny, casual, very loud in the mornings since it's a great place to meet friends for breakfast! Gets super crowded on weekend mornings... Like line out the door crowded. It's seat yourself with a lot very large tables/communal seating.

Satisfying appetite for the family I had a vegan pasta. My husband had a spinach pie and son had a chicken pesto with tuna salad. Clean space, with people around chatting happily while enjoying the food.

Prices seem to be higher than I remember. The food was very good though! The cashier gave a good recommendation and it was very tasty. However the hot drinks served "for here" are the same scalding temperature as the "to go" hot drinks. The coffee is barely a drinkable temperature by the time you are finished with your food.
