Bagels By The Park it’s a good bagel store in Brooklyn. I get coffee there . The bagels are always fresh and the people are so friendly. They also have a cat named Bagels . Even though they have great coffee . New Yorkers may be direct, but they are also true kind and look out for each other….
Bagels By the Park makes a delicious bagel, uniquely soft and chewy. Most reasonably priced lox sandwich in Brooklyn at $12. Worth the trip.
90% of the time I order something, there’s something wrong in the order. You can also tell that they’re rushing to make the food- eg the bacon is piled on one side of the sandwich, the bagel isn’t toasted, the cheese is half way out of the sandwich… I’d say is one of the worser bagel places in the neighborhood. Unfortunately we keep going there bc we live next door.
Best bagels and lunch sandwiches in the neighborhood, while there's large room for improvement in customer service. The experience was always chaotic with orders mixed up, and the rude head of cashier.
Bagels By The Park is our favorite bagel store in Brooklyn. I get coffee there almost everyday. The bagels are always fresh and the people are so friendly. They also have a cat named Bagels, and if that doesn’t sell you, I don’t know what will. Even though they have great coffee, the best thing about this place is they are such New Yorkers. NY gets a bad rep for being cold and mean, but the truth is, New Yorkers may be direct, but they are also true blue, kind and look out for each other. Last year, I asked my daughter what was on her Christmas list. The only thing she wanted was “the piggy bank from the bagel store.” It’s a plastic pig. I mentioned it to them and they couldn’t remember where they got it. We go in today at the end of March and they remembered and found her one. Nothing more New York than that. Except maybe leaving a review for your favorite bagel store. Go get a bagel and coffee and who knows, they may make your kids year!
Great place to go for a bakers dozen bagels. Great price too.
Bagels were very fresh and soft. You could eat them as is. Variety of flavors made it easy for everyone to have their preference. Our out of town guests were so happy to take a dozen to go.
Terrible and very overpriced. Staff does not care to help you. The Worst part was the two Large iced coffees I ordered were so filled with ice we only got 5 small pulls of coffee.
Am quite unassumingly dressed retired health professional and librarian, who has travelled well and frequents Central America. Order taken politely. At register, observed comment of “Negra,” used as a pejorative by counter boy. Not my first time at the racist rodeo. Will not return.
This place is racist. My daughter goes to school in the neighborhood and knows this is the only store that allow debit card payment. My daughter order her breakfast then waited in line to pay. The white man in line before her purchased his food paying with a debit card, when it was her turn she was told the debit card machine didn’t work and they only accept cash payments. They told her she had to go outside to use their atm machine so she can pay with cash which only allow withdrawals in $20 increments and the machine is located on the street and charges a $2 fee. I told my daughter to go back inside and tell them she only had a card. She was told “no go to the atm and get cash”. So now a child has to stand outside at an atm machine because of discrimination just to buy a $10 breakfast. And to add insult to the situation when I called the store to ask about their card policy I was told the machine don’t work. I hung up to walk my daughter through the atm process. When I call back asking how was someone else allowed to pay with a card the worker goes “ohhh yea it works now, I fixed it” so u telling me the machine worked before she came to pay then immediately after it stop working and after she pay cash now it works again. It’s bs. It’s racist. it’s discriminatory. It’s sad. And Unfair. And a waste of time when u are on your way to school and trying to eat. My daughter was buying breakfast from there all the time and because they have new workers now her card payment isn’t acceptable.
