This place is amazing! Where do I begin!? First things first the owners are incredible people and it’s family owned. Second the food has so much flavor and is so unique compared to your average bbq restaurant and third it’s so convenient with a drive through window to pick up to go orders! Definitely have to try the philly on Thursdays the best philly I’ve ever had and I’ve had them in Philadelphia!

Sad to be writing such a negative review of this place as I have had great food there in the past but unfortunately not today. I ordered the beef brisket, which is my personal favorite and also why I had originally started coming to Baloo's. Not every 'BBQ' place carries brisket as it is a more expensive meat to carry. What I received today can only be described as bad pot roast. I was tough and fatty, cut into thick slices, and nothing like the 'melt in your mouth' brisket I have had in the past. It was poorly cooked, uneven with no smoke flavor to it at all. It was not saved by the 'house' sauce which was today's only? option. My side of potato salad was passable. Not sure if there has been a change in ownership or what but this place has gone downhill fast in my eyes. I will be seeking other options which there are many for my BBQ fix.

I had some good pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw. I definitely recommend this place for BBQ. The staff is also very friendly and will let you taste various items if you are not sure about what you want. Overall good people and good food.

The service was really good which is the reason they get 2 stars. The employee was nice, but the food is the world's most eh-ist. It tastes like all the barbecue is boiled. The rib tips were served pulled apart, so much that they had to be eaten with a fork, but they also didn't remove the joints and grisle; you had to hunt though it to find the non-meat parts. We asked for sauce on the side and they forgot not that big a deal. The pulled pork sandwiches taste like that frozen bbq you can get at the store to zap in the microwave. If you like the taste of water, you'll love the mac-n-cheese! Honestly, I'd go to Hickory River over going back to this place again.

First time I was there I seen the lady working scratch her head,then serve food. No hand washing, no gloves, no nothing. I though ok, sometimes things happen, I will try it again. Second I was in there, the same lady was eating good out of the serving bowl as she was filling orders. Gross and unsanitary to say the least. For a LONG time I didn't want to go back because these experiences. Finally, a few days ago,I decided to try it one last time. Sure enough, my order was totally wrong. I ordered pulled pork only,not sandwhiches,with Mac n cheese and potato salad as my sides. I got home and I received no Mac n cheese and 2 pulled pork sandwhiches. As good as thier food is, I can't continue to go back and deal with the inconsistency.

Really liked it. Got take out for four and it fed us for days. I like that you can get the sauce seperate from the meat and let everyone choose their own. Good choice for catering a picnic or business retreat type of event.

Went here today to try a new bbq place since we wanted to expand our horizons. Usually we eat at Carol Lous bbq in decatur when we want some brisket or pulled pork but again, we wanted to try somewhere new. Went inside and I ordered a beef brisket sandwich with their "Texas Hill " sauce which appeared to be a hot sauce and my friend ordered a pulled pork with Carolina sweet and a side of Mac and cheese. My sandwich the beef brisket was full of fat to the point that I deemed it not worth eating, the first few bites were nothing but fat and the sauce could have been totally absent and I wouldn't have noticed. I took two bites and threw it away after lifting the soggy bun and viewing the remaining fat of what they called "beef brisket ". Not only that but it was room temperature which leads me to question their holding temps as I have a food sanitation license. Eating a fat filled sandwich at room temperature sound good huh? My friends order was almost just as disappointing as mine. Pork was fatty and also at room temperature, and his side of Mac and cheese was LITERALLY in a plastic cup the size of a jello shot. You know, the tiny little clear cups with a lid? Yeah, two bites for $2.00 what a deal! This place is nowhere near the caliber of Carol Lous or any other bbq place around here I've tried for that matter. Do yourself a favor avoid this place like you avoid the neighborhood it's in. 0 out of 5 if I could.

The staff is very friendly and the food is really good! They will even mix bbq sauces to fit your taste! Yummy home made brownies when I was there!

Best bbq place in town and maybe even central Illinois. The smoker/grill is an awesome sight and produces delicious food! No inside dining but there is some tables outside.

We love the food. It's a great place to get barbecue. We especially love Robin. Good attitude good customer service super super friendly.
