The cooks cook with their bare hands. All OLD people cooking the old school way. This was a mom, pops, uncle, auntie joint. Before they finally closed, the food became terrible. Sweet potatoes not fully cooked. Dry, no meat on the bone, no season ribs. Greens and cabbage undercooked... Don't get me started on the raggedy building...

If you are looking for large portions of fresh hot Southern food then "HODGES" is your place They serve mac and cheese, corn bread, pulled pork, black eyed peas, MeatLoaf, potatoe salad and so much more. I cannot forget to mention how friendly and helpful the staff is. We will definitely be frequenting this resturant

I just had the most delicious meat loaf. And the service I received was kind warm patient because I was a little undecided lol. I felt like a valued customer and my food was really good so I’m going back I wanna try some ribs next time...

Absolutely hated it .. the rice was horrible with the worst taste ever , the tea was horrible and sour . The worst food ive tasted ever in Georgia and im am not exaggerating. worst 10.75 in my life . and my side of mac had no seasoning at all like wow . meat loaf was black and dry . old and disgusting! ugh

If you are looking for Great soul food with Friendly Service, this is the place to go. I am soooo glad you all are back open. We will make sure we visit you all on the regular now!

I used to come here twice a week when I used to frequent this area years ago. The food was outstanding. But oh how the mighty have fallen. I'm just hoping I caught them on a bad day because this food will ensure their doors will be closed soon.
