Had the number 12, a taro based drink. My wife and I really didn't like it. The pandan jelly was bland and had a "gummy worm like consistency" while the taro taste was very powdery. Perhaps that's how the pandan jelly is supposed to be like, but I'm personally more used to Indonesian pandan jelly that really feels like gelatin. We also felt the drink had too much coconut milk.
Delicious and sweet asian drinks! They have lots of great selection from teas to specialty drinks. There's definitely one to suit all taste buds.
Oh God. The best Vietnamese desserts ever. The jellies and tapioca and chewy bits are all fresh and better than the ones at the pho restaurants where they've been sitting in a plastic Dixie cup for God knows how many hours or days. The prices are a bit steep relative to a pearl tea place, but there is a lot of love and hard work put into the different jellies. Take for example the red color jellies in there. This is known as "Hạt Lựu." These are made with water chestnut that is chopped into small pieces, tossed with a pink tapioca dough and then blanched to cook. It makes for a very cute, sweet, and crunchy dessert ingredient. It's possible to buy this prefabricated and then the centers are made of uncooked dough, and that's what you find for like 95% of the ones you find in a Vietnamese restaurant. They have the real deal hạt lựu here. I literally haven't found a place that made the real stuff in years. I'll be back. Thanks for making this California expat happy and scratching that nostalgic itch.
I go here very often. They have really good drinks and very good snacks. The best drink is #10. Also my personal favorite. It's a nice aesthetic place not a lot of people but when they are, theres not a lot of place to sit and relax. They have a really nice bathroom. Definitely go here for good Instagram background photos. Also a lot of very good looking people are always hanging around this area so if you need some eye candy after a long day of study, check it out! Dont be creepy though. The musics are also very nice and soothing!
I think Bambu has the widest selection of drinks of all the bubble tea places although they aren't all tea. It has by far the nicest sitting area/lounge. I've seen a number of ppl on casual dates here. They have huge, delicious banh mi so you don't have to go a different place for lunch if you're hunkered down studying. They have free flavor shots and add-ons so you can get creative with your beverages. I've always gotten a drink with flawless bubbles here, chewy and sweet. The sweetness of the drink can be customized too, which is nice. The staff is always pleasant and patient. Occasionally there will be kpop music videos playing on the TV
It just took me 25 minutes for my tea to come out. In that 25 minutes, only 7 teas came out, and they messed up one order. When I got my tea, I walked out. It took me until I was home to notice that there weren't any bubbles. I live close, so I was half tempted to walk back and complain, but knowing how long it took to get my tea to start with, I wasn't interested in waiting another two hours to get it fixed. The tea was tasty enough though. But I think I'll be going to any of the other tea places in the area over this one. Most of them have better prices too.
This place is nice for summer bubble tea/tea/smoothies and some snack foods while studying. It is brightly lit with natural lighting. It is usually very busy. There is a nice point rewards system too. That is about all I can say that is positive. Sadly, this will be my last time going there. When the bosses are there the staff as well as the bosses can be patronizing. There is a section where you can customize your drink. Logically, they would give you what you request and you leave happy. On three separate occasions after ordering double the amount of bubble and lychee the boss/some employee told me that there will be less liquid in the cup and that th e drink will be "off balance". Now if i havent gotten this drink before i might have taken that as helpful advice but i had seen these people every other day and still gotten the same thing. Only after explaining multiple times that I wanted what I originally asked for would they change the order. I even offered to pay more ust so they would give my what I asked for. So it will be my last trip. Just 2 things dont put a custom section if you cannot actually customize and 2 dont argue with your long time customer about what they already been getting consistently. Note this only happens when management is around which makes me think that they are cheap. If you go just ask if the bosses are there or don't customize your order. Very disappointing for a place I wanted to like.
I ordered their Hazelnut milktea and it was AMAZING, loved it. Along with my milktea, I ordered their pandon waffle and that too was amazing. The atomospher is a college atomospher filled with them trying to do their studies and whatnot, but still a hip place to chill. I recommend going. Just do it.
I got a pandan waffle here, and it was delicious! I have no idea what they put in the waffle but I am guessing there is rice flour in it as there is a chewy texture to it. The flavor made me think it was green mung bean.
My favorite place on earth!!! I love their drinks/desserts! They have such a variety of drinks and customer service is usually really good too!
