Friendly staff, very good maintenance of records. Have yet to have anything negative happen, including prompt service right on time for our vet appointments. I should mention that they do vaccination injections in a separate room, so if you wanna be there with your buddy while they get stuck with a needle, just know that isn't an option. ...although I've a feeling that's due to too many pet owners freaking out during the process. That's not Banfield s fault though.
My dog went to the Capitol Hill location for a annual exam and they took her in the back for several hours and she came back with diarrhea, pain, and dried saliva all over mouth. I requested a rabies shot only and they gave her additional vaccines that she did not need. They also would not allow me to stay in the room with her and I could only drop her off. Banfield in general is not reliable. They encourage people to sign up for their health plans but never have available appointments for pets to be seen. My dog is now barely able to walk, not eating, has diarrhea, and terrified after her appointment at Banfield
Horrible communication and service. They notified me at 4pm the night before surgery on my dog that it was cancelled. Then said they wouldn’t be able to get my pup in for three more months because of this cancellation. My dog needs this to be able to go on trips and go to daycare. I prepaid for the yearly visits so now I’m stuck with this horrible company. Stay away at all cost!
Took my golden retriever here today for a comprehensive check up, and a possible leg sprain. They took great care of her and I left feeling educated Happy dog upon pick up is always nice too!
Do not go here. I was hoping this was going to be my new home vet, and I should have listened to the 1 star ratings before I went. Avoid this place- I’ve never had a “bad” vet experience. But after 13 years, my dog has finally experienced a bad clinic. There is a reason they have appointment openings so quickly.
Only people I'll trust with my cat! Dr. Rahim was amazing, she even fit me in between surgeries when my cat was sick. Their wellness plan makes taking my cat to the actually affordable. Highly recommend!
I called twice since last Tuesday they do not bother to contact or call me back!!! they do not have a time to send a simple email or call me back when they can. I just called and learned that they change their schedules from 7 AM to 6 PM TO 8 AM TO 6 PM. It just is happening recently.
At first I thought this place was a great go-to for all of my pets needs, but over time each visit became worse and worse. Not only has my dog never been correctly treated, but everyone who works here is so rude and will not give you the time of day. I brought my dog in last year for a skin issue and she had visible bumps that were bothering her and making her scratch non-stop, bumps that anyone would be able to notice. The vet said, “I don’t feel or see anything.” Even after I had pointed out several of the bumps on her neck. I then went to a second vet to get another opinion because clearly there was something wrong, and my dog got treated for a staph infection. Last week I brought my dog in for a vaccine and an eye issue. Her eye was clearly irritated, it was red and cloudy - only getting worse with time. They took her out of the room for the vaccine and I mentioned her eye. The vet came back with my dog and said there was nothing wrong with it and they didn’t see anything. So a couple days later, I brought her to the same vet I went to to get a second opinion for the skin issue. They not only immediately noticed her eye problem and explained to me what it was, but they treated it with antibiotics. Twice now I have had to go to a separate vet for a second opinion AND spend more money. Both of those times, the second vet treated my dog. We will not be coming to Banfield anymore. I would not recommend them to anyone who loves their pets.
Banfield will always be my vet of choice! The level of care my fur baby receives keeps me coming back! The staff is always so friendly and patient. I always feel valued and appreciated. My dog Leo has been seeing the same vet, Dr. Farnsworth, since he was 11 weeks old and Dr. Farnsworth, is incredible! She knows my dog by name, and takes all the time I need to discuss his care without making me feel rushed. She genuinely cares about my dog and I wouldn't want him in someone else's care. Banfield always calls and checks up on Leo following his appointments and I have never had a negative experience in the year+ I have been taking my dog here. I highly recommend the wellness plan, it would be silly not to utilize the service if you take your pet to the vet!
I want to preface by saying the clinical staff have only been wonderful to my dog and I. I would only have recommendations for Banfields generally, it keeps you honest about puppy vaccinations, app is nice but today that changed. I had to cancel my wellness plan because we moved and another vet made more sense. When I canceled the wellness plan they told me I owed hundreds of dollars for discounts applied to services. I was apparently mistakenly assuming that my monthly fee covered the plan's covered services routine appt etc and the discounts that would be applied to out of plan services Poo Smear etc. I am not talking about the money I had already paid for the out of plan services, this is accounting for the discount from the full price of those services. I am confused as to why I owed any money but I wasn't getting anywhere with the guy on the phone so I ponied up the cash so I could cut them out of my life forever. Felt like a bait and switch, felt scummy. Be smarter then me use a local vet not a corporation
