I can not even begin to tell you what a wonderful “first makeover/tutorial” experience my cousin had today with Corey at BareMinerals, Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall, PA store. I’m sure most people would at first be nervous when they are told that their tutorial will be given by a male consultant, but my cousin was even more excited to meet him. She is new to make up and needed help with finding everyday wear for her dry skin and also needed help with a look for a 50’s/pinup themed wedding. Corey was excellent and accomplished both for her! I am a 10-year BareMinerals wearer and even I can get intimidated walking into the store looking at all the products, but he was able to easily explain to us which products would work best for her skin type. He gave detailed and easy-to-understand explanations of why she may like ‘Product A’ over ‘Product B,’ and he also made sure she had options to pick from rather than choosing for her. He knows the store layout and when any question was asked he was easily able to show us where a product was, along with one that may be similar. He followed her directions of wanting to look “natural” and when she did not like a certain color of eye shadow he had no problem with removing it and finding another that was a better fit for her. Since this was my cousin’s make up session, I tried to stand to the side a bit to let her have the full experience with Corey, and the smile never left her face! I loved seeing him interact with her and how at ease she felt with him. He did not try to “oversell” products to her and gave advice on what he felt would be best for her to start herself out. They laughed, they collaborated with color combos and most of all she was EXTREMELY happy with her experience and is now a BareMinerals-Lifer like me! I can not thank Corey enough for giving her such a wonderful experience and for teaching her that makeup is not as hard as she thought it would be!
