Today was my first visit to Barrington Family Practice and I was more than impressed. The staff was more than friendly and knowledgeable. Tamara Schilling DO was very very thorough and listened to me. I felt that she really understood what I was saying and where I was coming from, which is very important to me. I explained to her that I was a tough old nut to crack as I haven't had the best of luck with doctors. I was so impressed I recommended to my wife to see her also. I'very never said THAT before. I really like Dr. Shilling. It is unfortunate that my insurance company lists her as a specialist and not a PCP so I am not sure I can keep her. She is also my 3 year old son's doctor and she is very good with him too. Plan on spending some time there because she is very thorough and goes over everything.

I love my NP Jennifer Willard but as a facility this office is horrible. The receptionist is one of the most impolite people I've ever spoken to and has hung up on me multiple times. When asking for anything other than scheduling she acts like you've asked her to walk across hot coals. Recently when I requested test results she completely stopped speaking and when I said hello she snapped back at me that she was looking. If it weren't for the fact that I'm so comfortable with Jenn I would have switched offices many years ago because of the administrative staff.

My children have seen Dr Blatt for the last 5 years. They love her. She's personable and thorough. No cold demeanor and the support staff have always been pleasant and helpful.

I signed up with them to be a new patient with a new doctor starting at the practice this Fall. I accidentally missed my appointment, my work schedule had been hectic and there was no reminder call no email. A couple weeks later I received a form letter from them in the mail informing me that I could no longer be a patient at the practice because I had missed my appointment. And could never be. Wow! I had never heard of a doctor's office doing this. I called to apologize - left a message and didn't receive a call back. I find this kind of treatment pretty appalling for this day & age. Feels barbaric. what happened to 3 strikes? Or why not call a new patient - inform them of this rule - and give them a second chance. I don't think this bodes well for this practice lasting long in the community.
