Lots of trails and surprisingly good fishing at the lake. I pulled a bass, crappie, and 2 large sunnies out of the lake near the dam. Haven't done any guided tours of the village or canoe tours but they are offered. So is camping.

Batsto village is beautiful year round. You can go walking through nature trails, biking on the bike trails, canoeing, take a tour of the historic homes and workshops, or picnic by the water.
Check out their website for special activities and events.
Oh and you can bring your dog too!
Just remember whatever you take in leaves with you. There are not a lot of trash cans around.

Good way to spend a couple of hours. Sad that the artisans and general store aren't operating any more. The mansion tour was informative.

Very cool historical site. Lots to see. The main mansion has tours. Make sure you go in the old mill. And be sure to check out the basement level.

Went camping at Wharton State Forest. Loved that our campsite is right by the water, making it easy to launch kayak. Facilities are clean and we'll kept. Scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking.
