Visited the Tuesday after Memorial Day with out of town guests. We were looking for something different to do and we were not disappointed! Found a Groupon and got 2 tickets for $10, and when we arrived we were the only ones there so private tour for us! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I'm not sure how many people they normally take on a tour in season (it would be very cramped with a large group) but I would highly recommend visiting this historic location if you get the chance.

Hello Roadside America!! A must stop roadside attraction and museum. A truly unique historical landmark experience especially if you read up on Lucy's history. Great for all ages. Don't forget the gift shop for some memorable items.

Supposedly the biggest elephant in the world was created as an advertising scheme for real estate but the city decided to keep it in and manage it after the company no longer existed.
the people there who sold in the gift shop had tons of information to give us about lucy and the locals and they were very nice people in general.
the gift shop itself is packed with elephant themed police and windup toys as well as dolls and shirts hats and whatever you can think of.
The price was $8 per adult and you can go into the elephant while the tour guide explains about the elephant itself.
there is nothing special inside the elephant the only thing nice about it is The View on top of it.
that said don't expect toddlers and infants to stay here more then 30 minutes max as in the end it's just a giant wooden elephant.

Loved visiting Lucy! She is a beloved icon of Atlantic City and well worth the visit. Very whimsical and would be terrific for kids. We did not climb it but looked like fun. Located near the beach so could combine with a walk and lunch. A restaurant across the street opens around 11.
