First thing, make sure you take a video of the room when 1st walking in and as you're leaving. I didn't and now they're charging me for 2 pillows that were never taken from the establishment. I asked them to see the cameras and there they will see nothing was taken from the room. I've never had to think about doing inventory of a room before this, but now I will. Front desk receptionists were welcoming and friendly. Room was clean but bathroom does need some updates. Tub needs some non-slip strips. The pool was warm and clean. I'd be careful with staying here though. They can easily do to you what they did to me. Adding charges to your card just cause they can easily say there are items missing from the room.
Rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. The GM had a great team which speaks of her management skills. The housekeepers work their tails off and have to put up with some real rude people. They managed to be courteous and polite and very attentiveRooms: 5/5
Learned a $77 mistake when booking this room at Days Inn. Read the reviews before booking!! Took two steps in the room and told my wife that this will never work. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. Went to the office and told the clerk that the room reeked of cigarette smoke. We asked if she had another room because that one smelled so bad. We told the clerk we have an 11 year old boy that has asthma and the smoke really irritates his breathing. She informed us that they were booked and did not have an available room. We asked her for a refund so we could go get a room else where. She told us we would have to contact the third party where we book the room from. We told her we could not stay there because of our son and left the key cards on the counter and left. We went across the interstate and booked a room at the La Quinta. While I was waiting to get checked in I saw on my online credit card that she still charged me 100.00 deposit at the Days Inn. I called her and asked her why she had charged me a deposit when we are not even staying there. She told me she would reverse the charges. I then called the third party that I used to book the room and they said they did not bill me it would have to be done with the Days Inn. So I thought I would just deal with it when I got home. I got home and messaged the Days Inn office. They I guess forwarded the complaint to the hotel manager. Explained to her my problem via email. She said it was indeed a non smoking room. When asked about the smoke smell in the room the manager told “well it is because it comes through the AC unit”. How can you claim it is a smoke free room?? She informed me she would not be giving me a refund because we did not let them know we were checking out. When in fact we told them twice we would not be staying there. You don’t have to take my word for it just read the reviews. They speak for them self!!
While this was a good and cheap place to stay on a quick back to school shopping trip for my daughter, the room updates could have been more complete. I didn’t feel completely safe where we stayed but it wasn’t horrible. The pool is much smaller than it looks online but it was not the reason we stayed here either.Rooms: 3/5
My personal experience at days inn was not that great, some off the staff are very unprofessional from their personal presentation as front desk attendant not to mention the fact that they use slur language when guests are present in the lobby. We requested several times for our room to be cleaned and appearantly they never passed on the message to the janitorial staff. The only good thing about this trip was the discount given to the company by the manager which we greatly appreciate. Also the breakfast lady is very kind and helps the guests showing them how to use the waffle machine and restocking the yogurts.
I gave this hotel a 2 star instead of 1 because the employees are very pleasant, kind, and very friendly, thank you for that. We paid for fri and sat but couldn't stay sat. Upon arrival it looked nice but going up the stairs was frightening. Cracked broken and dirty. The door to the room was dirty. I knew right then it was not so nice. We all wore shoes because the floor was dirty. To take a shower we laid a towel inside the tub. It was just awful, old and discolored. We just couldn't stay for the sake of our granddaughter. We couldn't get a refund .
Spent a night, with my family, at this Day's Inn this past summer on my way to the West Coast. The room non-smoking that we got was extremely filthy, had a distinctly pungent smell, the carpet was stained, the mattresses were squeaking, and the bathroom was immensely dirty with hair in the bathtub and gross looking toilet. We even went to the reception asking them if our room can be switched, but they literally lied to our face saying that they are full. The reason I say that they lied is because their parking lot, at around 11 PM, was almost empty and neither did we see any lights on in any of the rooms nor any people on any of the floors on our side of the building. Knowing that we had no option, we somehow slept for a few hours on those squeaking mattresses, mostly because we all were quite exhausted after a long day of travel. This place was so pathetic that that none of us felt like using any of their stuff except the ones that we couldn’t do without and left the place at the first light of dawn without any of us showering. Being a traveler have driven across 43 States so far, I have stayed at a lot of places hotels / motels / inns / air bnbs around the country and have to say that this place was the WORST; not even ONE thing was of a “decent” standard over here. If you are passing by Albuquerque and don’t find any other place to spend your night at, then my suggestion would be that you spend the night in your car/truck rather than checking-in at this place. ####################################################### *Edited after the response from the owner* Thank you for your response. Based on it, I can very well say that it must have been before it came under the new management. I remember, during our stay, one section of the parking lot was being repaved. I am glad to know that the new management has invested a lot in revamping this place. During my next visit / stopover to Albuquerque, I would, most likely, would stop at this place again. Again, your response is much appreciate and I wish you all the very best for your business, especially this coming holiday season. #######################################################
Stayed here last night. I booked my room here a couple days in advance, non-smoking room. The room I was given had clearly been smoked in. When addressing the issue with representative at the desk, I was informed that there were no other non-smoking rooms available and it was that or nothing. I dropped the issue, went back to the room. After being there a couple hours it became clear that the room was infested with some kind of miniature flies. They were especially concentrated in the bathroom where it appeared there had been water damage in the past. Looked kinda like they had “remodeled” over it but never addressed the core issue. Lacking another option, I stayed the night and left early the next day.
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Air conditioning unit rattled loudly all night long. They also charged me $100 incidental deposit which still hasn't fallen off many days after my stay. Might have to file a claim with my bank soon. Overall worth the price and you can't complain much for under $80 a night.Rooms: 3/5
The new rooms in this motel are amazing. They have updated everything so that you have access to a charger port or plug at you reach just about everywhere in the room. The beds are super comfortable and the towels are clean and fresh and a very generous size!!!!Rooms: 5/5
