This is a newly refurbished hotel that is still undergoing new construction. We were in a very nice room and it was clean and roomy. The staff including bartender Carl were all super nice. The food was good, however the only downside was if you just want a muffin/bagel for breakfast you have to pay the full $13 which is to me a missed opportunity. Rather than having a muffin/bagel for breakfast for a nominal amount I drove to Starbucks. They should have breakfast pricing that works for light eaters.
We had a very nice stay, but only for one night and we didn't try any food or amenities. Check in was easy, the room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and I got a text message asking if we needed anything. It was very quiet, which is always a bonus if you are a light sleeper. There is a Cracker Barrel in the same parking lot and a Denny's across the street. Usually, we only stay in the hotels that are right off 40 but I'm so glad this time we drove a couple extra miles to a nicer hotel. I would stay there again.
Did not meet expectations. The elevator and room smelled very nice. But the noise insulation from next door rooms is zero, the entrance and bathroom doors at odd with each other, and drafts in the hallway make the door lock bang. No spare toiletry items are available, and no apologies or sorry about that. Also, charging $13 for a mediocre continental breakfast more for anything else that lesser hotels provide for free, and to not alert the customer at check-in was un-American and substandard. After a night's sleep cut short for that, the room key deactivated going up from the lobby. No apologies. The desk employee seems disinterested, has no smiles and little customer service skills.
Conrad Hilton must be rolling in his grave to see what has happened to his hotel chain. Made a reservation several weeks in advance for a king size bed. On my scheduled day, I reconfirmed my booking that I would be in before 10:00 pm. Arriving well ahead of my 10:00 pm booking I was told my room had been released to someone else? They gave me a double queen bed instead and would not discount me for a room I didn’t want. By the way there is no garden at the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel seems to have some management problems as the hotel was generally in a run down condition. You need to take a shower in one of your own rooms. Not the picture with you deteriorating bathtub .
Best hotel for a quick overnight or extended stay location along the interstate in Albuquerque! Great prices, location, service and friendly staff! Located 1/2 mile walking distance from Starr Bros. Brewery which I would highly recommend & a Cracker Barrel right next door.
We stayed here twice in 2 weeks as we were traveling through. Even though it was a late night arrival, Joshua at the front desk was so welcoming! The room was great and the location is convenient to gas, starbucks, chick fil a, and other stops.Rooms: 5/5
This has got to be the Joke of the Hilton Brand. They do not live up to the brand and service that you expect and get from other Hilton hotels. At check in my room wasn't ready, so went to dinner and came back. Still not ready? "We only have 2 in housekeeping" was the response I was given. So, I get stuck in another part of the building. Pool is closed for remodeling. No other options. According to other reviews I should be GLAD of that Being a Hilton Honors Member doesn't get you anything more, as they charge your card for the benefits, they are supposed to offer free to you. I have talked to hotel management and even hotel chain customer service. The room was clean, and the a/c worked. Shower head was so dirty with corrosion and "water conservation" you couldn't get wet. Used the restaurant for breakfast, only 2 tables had anyone at them. Waited close to 10 minutes to get waited on. Then I had to eat without silverware and napkins. Finally got up and went to get my own coffee that I ordered from the grab and go station at the door. There they had no lids, stirrers or sugar. I have stayed at many Garden Inns, and multiple Hilton brands in my corporate and personal travels over the last 20 years. This is by far the worst experience I have seen ever. My next stay in Albuquerque will NOT be at this place.
The hotel room was decent, but the rest was alright. It will be better when renovations are finished. The business center was under renovation and the door says to ask the front desk for help with business center needs. I needed some documents printed, but the front desk said they couldn’t help me, so I had to go to Staples. The pool was very uninviting with its rotten smell.
Remote and coffee maker didn't work. Bath tub was very slippery. It was ok. We won't stay there again.Rooms: 3/5
