The Bayonne Bridge is a truly unique bridge that crosses Kill Van Kull and is one of 4 bridges that connect staten island to the mainland. This bridge is easily distinguishable by its single curved arch going through it which is a feature i haven't seen in any other bridge. This bridge is pretty nice and it helps contribute to any travelers experience when they come to the NYC Metro area.
The walkway that they have over this bridge is fantastic. It is so pleasant to walk across the Bayonne Bridge. You get a beautiful Breeze and a wonderful view. Right off the Bayonne Bridge on the Jersey side they have a really pretty Park. The park contains outdoor exercise equipment and also has two dog parks as well. Definitely worth a visit to walk over the bridge and schroll down to the park. The park is approximately a half a mile away from the entrance path to the Bayonne Bridge.
Clean, beautiful view, easy walk. By the water so winter time add layers, it’s get colder when your in the middle of the bridge.
A beautiful renovation of the bridge with great views on both sides I always enjoy my trip when I take the drive.
Nice biking and walking path between Bayonne and Staten Island. View of Manhattan skyline is also a bonus.
The Bayonne Bridge is the oldest arch bridge in New Jersey area. It was built back in 1920 I believe. Nowadays it's a work in progress. This is one of a few ways to cross over to the Bayonne New Jersey area. The new construction work to raise the Bridge is long overdue and at the same time, the work is horrendous on traffic and autos/trucks/busses. At times you don't know if the Bridge is open or closed. The $15 dollar fee doesn't help the cause either. Plus you need an ezpass to go over or get a ticket in the mail as there is no longer any ticket booth clerks. We can only hope, things get better in time.
Well I see this bridge sometimes not much feeling about this bridge. I wish, if there is pedestrian pass, it will be great just like GW bridge now I heard they made a walk sounds good Update: now people can cross the bridge by walking
This bridge is beautiful, the walkway is spotless and the road is smooth. How many things can you say about a bridge, lol. I will say this, best investment the P.A ever made was rebuilding this bridge. It’s perfect
The rebuild took a while but was well worth it. Genuinely beautiful bridge with lovely views in all directions.
Love the walkway and love the view. "I can see my house from here!" I come here once in a while when im in the mood for a view and a hike/jog.
