BCL Auction

This is an auction site. So yes, you need to take advantage of the previews and go see for yourself what you are buying. I have some great deals and some not so great deals when I didn't take the time to see the item I was buying. They have always been incredibly helpful when I pick up my items and responsive to my emails. When there was a dispute on a item they were quick to rectify the situation.

I buy a lot of items from BCL's Auctions and have purchased other non-auction items as well. So items were damaged, my fault for not inspecting them as you are supposed to, and every time they issued a refund for those items. I understand the task of listing so many small things and inspecting those items, which I feel they do a great job at considering how many auctions and items there are. All of the staff are friendly and always a pleasure to deal with. For the few negative reviews I've seen, I would suspect they have possibly not been to a lot of auctions. Great company, great people. Always look forward to doing more business with them.

I have not used many online auctions but if I had to rate this one I would not use them again. An 18% buyers premium plus another 25$ handling fee for putting my items in a box and then I had to contact the shipping company myself and set up a pick up day myself. And they missed it because they didn't check their email for a shipping label I had to send them. and I wasn't told about the fee till after I had bought the items and I had emailed them a day prior to the end of the auction to ask about shipping. I would have been fine with everything if they had been up front about it.

I have had nothing but positive experiences when it comes to BCL Auction. Peggy has been great! She has been responsive to my emails when I had questions and needed some help. She went beyond what she was required to do numerous times for me. If I still owned my company I would offer her a position working for me. Thanks Peggy!! This is an exciting way to get some great deals on pretty much anything you can think of. They even give you an opportunity to look at the items up for auction before you place a bid. If you don't like something, don't bid on it...

I have purchased items from BCL Auctions 3 times from the Shapiro warehouse location and had problems all 3 times. The first time, an item had apparently been stolen (read other reviews below, common theme) and they had to refund my money. No problem, except I drive 2 hours one way to pick up the stuff only to find I get a refund. Second time, item not as pictured, partial refund. Third and LAST TIME, a warehouse employee is extremely rude. Also you will have to put up with the staff also complaining about not getting tips and asking for lunch money, happened all three times. Sent Bill an email about the rude staff, his response, I can't control Sam's employees , you need to call Sam...Guess what Bill, I paid BCL auctions , not SAM. To be fair, I will admit that my experience at three other BCL auction sites has been pleasant and the transactions went smoothly. But the black eye that the Shapiro site has given BCL auctions is losing them a lot of business including mine.
