whoever works at the front desk as of 2023 is super condescending and rude, leaves little explanation, and cannot handle a customer who is just trying to find answers to why their appointment was cancelled I know why now, but the point of this is that the front desk and/or manager does a disservice to helping those who are struggling with mental illness/health Does the opposite of the website quote "we're here to listen". At least my therapist was good for the time being

If I could give zero stars - I would. The treating physician lied to me about how my medication could be prescribed and has left me stranded after putting me on amphetamines for 2 months.

Took my son there to see the psychiatrist. was suppose to see another provider, but he was the only one that had availability. I'm not sure if he even understood what we were saying, or even what he was saying. The whole appointment was spent about him talking about his military background, being a commanding officer, how he has been doing this for 50 years, and golfing and all the people he has known and how important he is. Very nice guy but he did not help us at all. he probably should retired. as he stated over 5 times he is over 80 with all his white hair.

Refused to even take my kids as new patient’s because they have a primary and secondary insurance. Also refused to accept them or even tell me the cost if I paid out of pocket claiming “she’d go to jail and the practice would get in big trouble if they didn’t go through insurance”

Tried to set up new patient appointment for my daughter. When receptionist answered and asked why I was calling, I stated why, and before I could explain any of the extenuating circumstances and attempt to get my daughter on the phone, I was hung up on after being told she needed to call not me. When my daughter called to try and set it up herself, she was immediately asked for insurance info and hung up on when she couldn't produce it fast enough. If this is how the front desk staff acts at this practice, I definitely don't want to know what their providers are like.

I have been carrying aound bipolar for over 42 years. I wanted and needed to do something about this so i contacted Beach Counseling. They introduce me to Denise Trent and she sat down with me and we talked about my struggles. She dealing with her she had come up with a great plan to help me deal with this problem. She has been a life saver. Very caring and listen to my every request. She had the skills an ways to assist in the recovering process. She is a life saver. Thanks again Denise for your constant support.

I am so beyond happy that I found beach counseling center. Everyone has gone above and beyond to help and give advice and love and compassion while I was going through a mental health crisis. Abigail Phillips listens to every single thing you say, she listens with compassion and does what she can to actually make you feel good. Haley Cooke is the sweetest, most loving counselor. The moments after I speak to her, the weight of the world lifts off my shoulders. The office manger, I believe her name is Lou? , is just beyond amazing. Went out of her way to personally make sure I was okay and I got what I needed, even while enjoying her own home life. I can’t express the gratitude I have towards beach counseling center. They have truly saved me in so many different ways. Thank you thank you thank you. I will continue to speak good words of you to my family and friends

I’m not sure about the bad reviews on here but honestly this is one of the best places I have ever been to. They actually care about you. The owner doesn’t just own it she actually works and she works hard to make things right! I have been on the search for a place that can get me on the right track and after 44 years I found my home for my mental health!

***** 5 STARS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! ***** My name is David Testerman,I got covid September 2020 I have been suffering from insomnia, chronic sleep deprivation, anxiety, ptsd and depression so, I started seeing a psychiatrist and therapist at different company for about 4 months the service was terrible they were no help with my issues so I stopped going there. I needed a new company to serve my mental health needs so I decided to give Beach Counseling a try. That was the best decision I made. It has been a 5 star experience from the office staff and healthcare staff. Specifically, I want to call out my psych. doctor Doctor Denise Trent she has been a godsend trying to help me with my issues it has been a year and half dealing with this, she has gone above and beyond we are making progress with my condition finally, things were looking pretty bleak for me I haven’t had a positive outlook on life for a long time, she has turned that around for me. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Trent. She listened to my needs, past problems and we came up with a plan to address those issues. She is a shining example of what 5 star customer service is and quality healthcare provided by Beach counseling and their staff. I would highly recommend them to family, friends and or anybody else for that matter for their 5 star customer service and Doctor Denise Trent for her outstanding healthcare and service!

People wonder why mental health is such a problem! How can you be "full" for Optima insurance patients! It is so sad that because of your type of insurance a child can't get mental health services.
