Belly Up

Great venue! I have seen several shows here, different kinds of music, all have sounded fantastic. Love the set up inside, plenty of space and a lot of seating, if you prefer. Bars are well-stocked, and I really appreciate how they are on both sides so you don't have a big clump of people on one side blocking the way. Great acoustics, and everyone is always friendly, even the security people. I love coming here, it's probably one of my favorite spots to see live music in all of San Diego.

Went to see the amazing Kimbra with Son-Lux, the show was incredible. Kimbra was flawless and beautiful, of course and the venue made the whole evening a perfect experience. The stage can be seen well from most anywhere. The size is big enough that it does not feel cramped even when full, yet small enough that it is still very intimate. The service was quick, given that the venue was sold out and packed. There was a good selection of beers and drinks and the food was really good. Overall I loved the show and the venue, and will definitely be going back again.

Went and saw Less Than Jake and face-to-face recently. Show was great. All the staff there were very friendly and it's a cool place to go. I've never been there when there's not a concert going on so I can't comment on that. Beer prices were reasonable though.

Great venue and amazing artists. Definitely arrive early if you want parking nearby or a seat. We had spots alongside the stage! Major downside is the venue is often full of not-so-sober individuals who aren't really interested in the music. Go with a group for a guaranteed listening experience.

The staff and crowd are very friendly. I wish they would do a top to bottom remodel. People seem to like it but I personally don’t like the atmosphere. I would love to see the club and cocktail menu upgraded. The area needs a nice place to dance. Atomic Groove is the best cover band!
