Great deli with classic pastrami, brisket, slaw and oh man those pickles! We ducked in here after nailing a deal on a business trip and I’m glad my group was cool walking a couple blocks to get to my namesake restaurant! By the time we left the place was jammed which was the final confirmation that I selected well. I want to eat here every day. Every day. I ordered the Big Ben—because why not—and all my hopes and dreams in life came true. Juicy medium burger topped with hot pastrami and onion rings and covered in a delicious sauce I couldn’t quite place. Others at my table ordered the cucumber salad, panini, brisket and knish. All good. Every day. And the pickles. I forgot how much I like a good pickle! But the icing was our waiter, Morgan. Charming guy who was super helpful. When asked about his accent he launched into a couple of great stories about his immigration and immersion into NYC. We were spellbound. He even came back later to tell one more story. He’s the kind of guy you wish was your neighbor but I’m super glad I met him. Good food and good people for a bargain.

It was quite quiet when I went in (a snow storm was due and not many people were around). I was in town for just a couple of days for work. Popped to Ben's for a late lunch. Very tasty, traditional food. Proper old school vibe. The waiter was extremely charming and friendly: such a character. I was alone, but enjoyed over-hearing his conversations with other couples. Thanks!

Pretty good kosher deli. Wait staff was engaging and helpful. Service overall was adequate, if a bit on the slow side. The pastrami sandwich was excellent, though the portion was not as big as I was expecting. Keep in mind that this is a kosher delicatessen, so no Reubens or mixed meat and cheese.

We went there yesterday an ordered corned beef and pastrami sandwiches on rye. We asked for a sample of the corned beef because we want it to be moist and juicy. The sample was, but what they put into the sandwich wasn't. It was dry and hard to swallow. We asked for potato salad on the sandwich but they didn't put it on. The chopped liver was bitter and not eatable. The corned beef sanfwiches were terrible. I was up all night with diarrhea and vomiting. It is a mystery that they do not have quality control on a Sunday night. Why don't they have someone unknown to their employees randomly order food to go. They are in for a rude awakening. I.hope to have that food tested.
