Bender's Tree Service

I had a problem tree on my property that had to come down. It was a huge white pine that actually split into 5 trees 3 of which were easily 100 foot monsters. Any one of these sections could have destroyed my house if they fell on it. I contacted Bender's via their website on November 27, 2016. That same day the owner Tom came over to give me an estimate. The price quote was more than fair. The following morning Tom's crew was on site by 8am as promised and by noon the problem tree was down. I plan on using Bender's Tree Service again and would highly recommend their service to anyone seeking a tree cutting specialist. I am editing this review that I wrote a year ago. Today is March 15, 2018. I had Benders tree service back for a 2nd job on my property. It was not as big as last year's job however it was completed fast, clean and at a fair price again. I intend to do more business with Benders in the near future.

Tom returned my call promptly and came to give me an estimate the day after I called. The crew showed up as scheduled. Due to wires and other trees, to remove large limbs hanging over my garage and house, they had some tricky work to do with the bucket truck. They did a nice job cutting the wood to firewood length and chipped up the rest, which I'll use around the yard. Nice cleanup, picking up all the small branches and blowing off the driveway, etc. I was very satisfied. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was I wasn't really happy with the trim job done on a big white pine overhanging my deck and roof. The young man used a manual pole saw as the crew didn't have a chainsaw pole saw. A chainsaw version would have allowed him to cut from the bottom as well as the top of a limb. Consequently, when he sawed about halfway through many of the branches, they snapped off, and the remaining limbs don't look so hot. I also thought they should have cut the tree back a bit more than they did. The boss was on another site and I didn't want to negotiate with the crew guys - that's not their job. All in all, though, I've lived in this area for a long time and have had tree work done by five or six different companies over the years, so I can speak from experience in saying Bender's provided good, prompt service at a reasonable price. I would hire them again.

I highly recommend Bender’s Tree Service. I’ve used them twice, and both times they did a fantastic job, They’re prompt, professional, hard working, skilled, and reasonably priced. What else could you ask for? Thanks Tom

Tom and his guys took down several trees, wood chipped them and cleaned everything up! Great pricing and would strongly recommend them for anyone who is thinking about tree service!

Tom was the most expedient to provide the quote. He was extremely well priced. However, you get what you pay for. When he said "leave the wood", I did not realize that meant throw the huge unwieldy piece randomly behind the house and leave it there. Overall fine, but left a bad taste in my mouth
