My fiance and I had an excellent 5-night stay here during mid-December. The location is absolutely perfect, with lots of great food options nearby and a short walk from the metro. Room was cozy and quiet with a great overlook of the street.Rooms: 5/5
I wanted to love this place, but I encountered many problems while staying here. Most importantly, the AC did not work! I need AC to sleep and thus did not get much rest during my stay. The hotel apologized and offered me a 10% discount, but in retrospect this was not enough, considering it decreased the quality of my entire trip. My card key repeatedly stopped working and I had to have the front desk reset it at least 6 times. We weren't able to figure out why. The rooms are quite small, and while I know it's Paris and space is scarce, it did feel a little claustrophobic. The mid-size rooms are all shafted not street-facing and thus a little dark inside. The daytime staff were very nice, but the one guy who runs the desk at night is a little smug and gave off some bad vibes. The main good thing about this place is it's in a great location. However, there are lots of good locations in Paris, the metro goes everywhere...
Thankyou to hotel Basss for an amazing stay! The room was super clean, with great views! Fantastic location with plenty to do around the area. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating to every need. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will be returning for sure!Rooms: 5/5
Very, very friendly staff, excellent location - very close to 2 different line Metro stations & huge choice of restaurants& shops, quality breakfast, lovely room & very comfy bed! We had a beautiful room for a week with Juliet balcony overlooking the busy street below.. Can't wait to return next yearRooms: 5/5
Stayed here twice now. Worth paying for the bigger room with a view for sure. Staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. Free coffee all day for guests from their self serve machine. Perfect location in the heart of Montmartre. Thank you again.
We stayed for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, especially if you want to stay in the Montmatre. Rooms are not massive but large enough, very clean and have a kettle, which I think is great. We also took breakfast in the morning which is value for money with an assortment of savoury and the classic croissant etc. What is really nice about the hotel is the staff though. They are not just helpful but really make you feel really welcome. If we come back this is definitely the place to be. Thank you!!!
Its a great location. Nicely decorated and staff are nice.. Breakfast was also tasy continental with fresh pastries. However we were placed on the ground floor room, usually saved for disabled access. Whilst it is a spacious room, i was awoken in the night by people talking loudly outside the door as the went back to their rooms. That didnt bother me much but could bother others. My main complaint was the bathroom. It was very smelly from the drains. Smelled and looked damp. It wasnt a nice space to be in.
If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. My friend and I came to Paris for a girls weekend during study abroad and this was by far the worst accommodation I endured. It was worse than a hostel. The room we stayed in was in the attic. The ceiling was slanted and the room looked nothing like that of the pictures online. I felt like I was in a dorm room. Additionally the heat did not work in our room and when we told the front desk we got laughed at by the staff and were never given another room to stay in. Being December it was freezing and we had to sleep with our coats on. This was unacceptable for a hotel in this industry. The staff was rude on multiple accounts and never provided adequate solutions to our problems. Also when I tried to speak to the manager I was told that she would reach out to me when she was around. She proceeded to email me after she entered my room without my knowledge, to fix the heat after having to spend a whole night in the cold and also provided inadequate solutions to my problems. Causing me to have to deal with my awful experience continually during and after my stay. The manager seemed almost robotic and used decisive word choice to neglect addressing the issues that I endured and the disrespectfulness of her staff. This hotel experience was a headache and not something you would want during your stay in Paris. Save yourself the energy and book a hotel elsewhere.
Location is very hard location to get to the main sites. The hotel pictures are true… but shot at a pint of view that made us expect more. We were on 1st floor even despite booking several months in advance, it was so much street noice and I live in urban area with 24-7 trains. The air conditioner unit was set to fan only so room was hot but when you open windows it was loud, smoky, and even smells of trash one night trash pick up day. Staff very nice, place was clean as well! Just not a place I would stay again. Uber rides were expensive and often they won’t accept the request. Metro is much harder and not like London. Food and drinking in this area is expensive considering that a pour is an Oz. And priced like 2 Oz in the states: Example Four Roses is $9 bucks US 2 Oz is $14-16 euro for 1 Oz. I would pass unless you just want to be in this area.
The location is great and the bed was really comfortable but the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. Not very many plugs in the bedroom and there was no safe in the room which I'd really expect from a modern hotel in the centre of Paris if only for your guests safety to put passports and other valuables in! but being able to use Netflix/cast to the TV was really convenient. During the day, the common space was used as a shopping space, which was a bit weird. That meant there wasn't really anywhere to sit and relax outside of our room apart from one small table and a few tables outside. I understand wanting to showcase local makers, but that shouldn't take over the general area of the hotel when there's limited space to begin with. Also it was slightly unnerving that there wasn't a locked secure storage place for our bags on arrival/departure and given the ground floor was essentially a shop, I felt uncomfortable with my bags just being left out what was essentially a shopping room for several hours.
