I brought my bike in today after having the crank arm fall of twice. I had to walk my bike from Louisiana down to there shop. Unfortunately I was dripping in sweet from the and was met with worn out mechanic. After arguing with him Mike and Chris calmly jumped in to help with the bike repair. Not only them but also their female coworker who was kind and not only offered me water but also a way to get the sweet off. All three of them stayed cool and calm offer a lot of advice while I cooled down in more then one ways. Sadly my bike is nearly 10 years old and the frame is starting to break down. Mike showed me multiple models starting at a great price and showing a very nice 700 dollar model that I now would love to get. I wish my bike was fixable but an old factory model is going to cause problems at some point and I will get something these professionals recommend. I would recommend these guys for anyone looking for great prices, and very friendly customer service. Thanks guys, this wasn't the best day for me.
Based on my experience with this company, I won't set foot in their stores ever again. I went in the Coors store now closed? and received a very negative reception. I was either going to give my used bike a tune-up or buy a new bike. The first thing that happened was a lack of feedback. I couldn't tell what the bike tech was doing because he wouldn't tell me. When I asked him what he was doing, he snapped at me and said he had to look at my bike. He took a very long time and it looked like he was already tuning it up. I decided to look at new bikes, since I had the money to buy a new bike. The bike tech was not the least bit interested in helping me select a bike. When I got the estimate to tune-up my bike, I was shocked at the cost - more than 3 times the average rate for everything. Tune-up started at $150. Tube started at $35, did not include thorn resistance. He wanted to replace several parts and cables. The total cost was more than a new bike! The tech treated me like I was bothering him and shouldn't be in that store. The other tech just stood there and watched me get treated rudely. I went to Sports Systems, was treated with respect and the cost to tune-up my bike was affordable. The folks at Sports Systems know how to treat a customer. Bike World does not!!
the worst dropped off my low rider bike for a new spring front-end after three days i need rims, they put rims, over charged for gold daytons put old parts on new rims.put on backwards rims backspun dropped whole bike after paid for labor they forgot nuts n washers took my dice valve caps then after taking back to put back together they refused to fix the issue. ya put back poorly still mixed and matched nuts so don't go there in my opinion thanks
Buyers beware!!!!! I bought 2 new expensive bmx bikes for my sons and one of them was used. Didnt see all of the scratches and paint chips in the store. Was able to see all of the minor damage to the one bike in the sun after I took it out of my vehicle. Unfortunately I called and talked to the owner as well as talked to him in person. Im not sure why he is even at his own business. I had way more knowledge as far as the questions I asked about upgrades on both bikes, and had more business and social skills than this guy!!! He was very rude and questioned why I wanted a new bike at new bike prices.....? My question to him was why would you buy a used car at new car prices????? Im only rating this review so low on behalf of the owners rudeness, inexperience, and poor business skills. Oh by the way, the new bike I finally got I believed was deliberately scratched. This business does have good knowledgeable sales associates and bike techs.
Keep in mind readers, I have only been to the store ONCE, but from what I have gathered, it is a great bike shop. I walked in with a crank nut and I needed two of them and the guy just gave me two of them at no cost. I think that is very nice. From what it looks like, they also have pretty good stock compared to other's. Overall, pretty good!
As a business owner in a related market we often receive calls that are bicycle related. We refer them to Bike World and Mike and his crew always take good care of them. J & D Cycle
Great people and great service. These are honest people who are very knowledgeable. We bought a mountain bike and a hybrid bike and love them.
