Birchwood Kennels

Just like most my pets are family. I have never used a kennel for my own pets since I worked at a veterinarian office for almost 20 years and obviously left my pets there. I moved to new job, Dr retired, sold business and I don't use the new Dr/owners. My husband & I found Birchwood online, we called some with Kathy, owner, and setup a visit. Kathy was very informative and understanding of my appreciation. I never informed her that I with animals before and she answered all my questions truthfully and she really does know her stuff. I booked my dogs reservation before we left the meeting. I felt very comfortable and confident with leaving Freddy with her and the staff. At pick up we ran into Kathy letting some of the dogs in, she knew we were Fred's owners and immediately told us how his stay was. She didn't give us the standard 'oh he was great, no problems with him'. She told us that truth~first he was nervous but warmed up, he wasn't aggressive to any of the staff, he was able to go out and play with some of the other small dogs, took him a bit to get comfortable but he did, etc. When Fred came out to see us I could see he had a bath, he was happy and excited. Kathy has been doing this a long time and her experience shows. You can also see she loves what she does and cares about her guests. I will be using Birchwood again anytime I'm in need of boarding care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to board their pets.

Kathy is great and always so accommodating . Coco is not great around other dogs but she is always happy when she drops her back off to me. And the pick up/ drop off service is amazing.

I have been taking my dog Cooper as well as my guinea pig for four years. Kathy and her staff are very loving and attentive with the animals. I love Birchwood Kennel!😊

Excellent place for pets to be at. They get a lot of loving and care from people who work there.

We lived in Beacon Falls for a few months and then moved to Stamford. We still drive the distance to bring our dog to Birchwood Kennels. Our dog is a very nervous dog, but he feels more than comfortable at Birchwood thanks to Frankie and Kathy!
