Absolutely made my Christmas Eve morning a mom-stop success! I ran out of coffee at home, so I was looking for a friendly and fast stop before home. I pass by without time to stop on a regular. Today I’m glad I did. I am overly pleased with my coffee product and very happy to see another cheerful face so early on the holidays ! I wish this company great tidings in the new year as for a first timer, it won’t be my last

The prices here are affordable, but it's not the best coffee you'll ever have.

We have had mochas literally all over Anchorage through the years and our very most favorite mochas are from Black Bear Coffee!! We live in Mexico now but everytime we're back in town like we are now, we cannot wait to get up and drive from wherever our Airbnb is to have a mocha there. Love them!!

When we came thru it was a one woman army running the stand and she was on her game. She rolled out 8 drinks for us quickly and accurately and they were great spot for a quick coffee run

Very friendly and locally owned coffee shop. Solid menu and most things I've tried were great. Lots of options for sure and lots of flavors. They take walk-up or drive-thru orders and if you got a couple extra minutes I hear their breakfast burritos are great

Great café for breakfast and brunch. We went there two of the three mornings we were in denali, the first morning we ate at the hotel and regret it! The avocado toast on focaccia bread with pesto is delicious. We also had the sourdough pancakes which were great. The coffee is very high quality too. Highly recommended, especially in an area without many options!

We came in when there was only one girl running the joint, so it was probably only running at half speed. It took 20 minutes to get the coffee, which is too long for any drive in. That said, everything they had looked good, and the coffee we got was delicious

Best coffee in Anchorage but sometimes it comes with a LONG wait. It seems they’re a little understaffed for their busier times. Baristas are friendly and make fantastic coffee. They have a LOT of flavors to choose from to customize your drinks and their punch cards are nice when you get to your tenth free drink! Always a great start to the day. Not much in the way or baked goods or food so if you’re looking for something to eat, probably not here. The bagel selection is dismal but bagels are terrible for you anyways so it just encourages me to skip the extra carbs! For an added bonus: this coffee box is located on a Pokémon GO pokéstop

The busiest coffee hut in Anchorage for a reason! We come here almost daily. We drive out of our way to get the coffee from Black Bear. Not only is the staff wonderful; remembering what we drink 2 white chocolate mocha's .. 1 with whipped creamand always friendly and accommodating, but the coffee is fantastic. The white chocolate mocha is the best I've ever had. I'm told It's the owners original recipe. Does she know she's sitting on a gold mine??? Yum! I hear it's for sale. Potential buyers: if you want the customers this business currently has.....steady with 3-4 cars deep on both sides waiting patiently for this superior coffee....you might want to ask what it'll take to get her white chocolate mocha recipe included in the deal! Thanks to all at Black Bear for making my mornings more "bearable".

Coffee here has been good in the past. The baristas are always friendly. But service has gotten slower and the coffee quality less consistent over the last year. Even so, it's right down the street from me so I still go here regularly.
