Terrible customer service. Business shuts down at exactly 530 pm. I would have got there at 5 but became stuck in road consruction for a half an hour. I called several times to explain my predicament and begged them to wait for me. I was told that they would not wait, that the lights and computers were on a timer and everything would shut down at 530. I just needed to pick up a junk wheelchair. I pulled in at 535 and they were all walking to their cars. I yelled for them to please help me. One guy did come back but was very put out and rude! The whole exchange took 5 minutes to complete. All this negativity and poor customer service over 5 MINUTES. I'll never go back.

UPDATED MY COUSIN HAD A WHEELCHAIR LIFT INSTALLED by Black Medical during the summer of 17'. They made a big mistake using Black Bear Medical. Someone has had to come out at least 3 or 4 times to "fix" it. The problem is, it's never "fixed" for long. I would definitely recommend that you choose another vendor for a chair lift. I just hope we don't have an emergency situation that requires we get my cousin out of the house. These lifts HAVE to work. She can't get out of the house any other way. I tried to exchange or return a cane today because I've only had it a couple of weeks and the foam grip had started to split. I was informed they have a SEVEN day return policy. I guess it wouldn't have mattered if I had a receipt or not. The fact is they don't stand behind their products. Why wouldn't I buy a cane at WalMart or a pharmacy? Also, the door was locked when I approached...I had to knock AND when I called nobody answered the phone. Hey, BLACK BEAR MEDICAL, YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. VERY SHORT SIGHTED. In addition, when I asked to speak to the manager. The person who introduced himself to me as the manager was NOT the manager. -5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I'll never buy another thing from them and I think I've convinced my family of the same thing after the terrible service they have received. I hope you will consider using another vendor as well.

Terrible customer service. Those answering the phone act aggravated that you are even calling. If you need repairs done, don't plan on them being done in a timely manner. I think 2 months is a bit too long to wait for a simple wheelchair repair. If you need medical/adaptive equipment go elsewhere!

I was curious as to why a medical supply store was showing such bad reviews? Well now I know!! After calling 2 separate times to confirm that my order was ready, I took off of work and drove 45 minutes to pick my knee brace up. The knee brace was wrong and I was told by one rep that they were "waiting on an order". I asked for a picture of the knee braces on order to confirm that the correct brace was on the way. A different rep rudely inserted herself into the conversation and told me that they don't even carry the brace that was ordered and it was the doctors fault because the description was not clear. Great customer service!! Next time maybe a phone call would be the solution instead of guessing. If possible, stay away. Maine Ortho is a much more professional and helpful establishment.

I wouldn’t even give one star if an option. They do not answer the phone ever or return calls. They have shipped my stuff to the wrong address twice. Since they don’t answer I had to load disabled child in van and wait to find out. Looks like I’ll have to go back again. I’ll be calling my insurance to see if another vendor available. Also, made me wait there with my disabled child for close to two hours to service wheel chair. I would have dropped off and come back. Always a long wait and kinda rude. Definitely not friendly.
