I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. Walked in, saw the sign Wait to be seated by waitress, NO WAITRESS. NO BARTENDER. walked to the opposite side and two waitresses laughing and cutting up with young customers. Waited 5 minutes to be recognized finally asked do we seat our selves and the reply was yeah. Well needless to say if the food service was as bad as the reception they can have this dump. Recommend go to Smoke on the River. Blockhouse run is over.

We have been here twice and both experiences have been great. The atmosphere is great. It has this down home feel you look for in a local restaurant. The service is quick, and the portions are generous. The drink menu has some great options and they do not water them down. The stuffed mushrooms are highly recommended as is any of their oyster dishes. Prices are about what you'd expect for seafood, but there's a good many less expensive options. Also great for just buying and sharing appetizers.

This establishment was not the friendliest or welcoming. When we arrived we were stared at by all the people at the bar and finally someone sat us at a table. The waitress wasn’t very welcoming, she asked us if we needed anything and we we said no she rushed off then she took our plates without asking if we were done. She seemed as if she didn’t really want to wait our table. The food was nothing to brag about. Clearly this restaurant has a certain crowd it attracts... old money and new money, enough said! Last time coming here...
