Blue Shield California Foundation

It has been over a year since I've submitted a request for reimbursement for medical services to this company. After many phone calls over the course of several months, I still have yet to receive a check from them. At first, they couldn't get our correct mailing address. Once I gave them the correct address, they stated that they would send the check in approximately 45 business days. I called them again 2 months later as I still did not receive the check. Despite them having the correct mailing address in their system, they did not even start the process of sending the check due to internal issues on their end. After every phone call, they say that they will fix the issue & will send the check in 10 business days, & after 10 business days, the check is not even in the process of being sent. I've dealt with other insurance companies before, & this is the worst experience by far. Hopefully, others will not have to go through a similar experience. UPDATE 2-3 WEEKS AFTER THE ABOVE REVIEW: I finally received the check last week after all the trouble I have been through. Needless to say, I am reluctant to work with this insurance company again.

This not for profit foundation does incredible things for the whole state of California. An emphasis is on domestic violence prevention, awareness, and recovery.

If there was such a thing as nagative stars thst ehat BS would get. I'm a brand new member as of Jan. 2018 and have had nothing but problems with them. No one can give me a direct answer about what's going on and every time I try to talk with a higher up I get declined. My recommendation: use a different insurance company.
