The best Submarine sandwiches you can find in greater Boston served in giant portions. I have learned only to buy the small sandwich roll which is large enough for three meals. Non metered street parking. For years I have brought my family Submarine sandwiches and larger Italian meals. They have a large staff and an impressive deli and meat counter. Highly recommended

Had to see what all the hype was about for myself. When I looked at the menu and saw a large Italian would set me back about $17, I thought “for that price, I better get a humongous and delicious sub”. And I got my food and I did eat a humongous and delicious sub. No skimping here - they pile on enough toppings to make the sub as thick around as a football. Not just the veggies either, the meat too. And when it comes to Italian subs, size DOES matter. Anyway, 1 large sub will probably get you 1.5 meals, so that helps justify the price a bit. Bob’s could end up being my go-to deli/sandwich shop. Went in, got food, came out. This place is a well oiled machine. Wait time negligible at 6pm on a weeknight. Eager to try the rest of the menu. But - I can’t give 5 stars for the price. I could get a sub at Market Basket that’s 80% as good in taste for 33% the price.

I paid for prosciutto, and they forgot to put any on, none whatsoever supposed to be chicken and prosciutto milanese! Very disappointing, and that made this sandwich forgettable, on top of being overpriced. The employees seemed very nice, and it’s a cute place, but they screwed up my lunch.Food: 2/5

No need to go to the north end for the 'real' Italian treatment.This quaint italian neighborhood is everything you would want in a Boston sandwich shop and quite possibly the best cold cut in the boston area. The shelves are stocked with true Italian goods: handmade pasta, salami, meats , cheeses, oil, and more. Take a stroll in here for a cold cut on a hot day. This place feels like 'family' when you walk in.

First time in the area, this sandwich place let me tell you. The people were super nice and helpful, every one of them asked if we were being taken care of. The Sandwich I ordered was the Deluxe Italian fully loaded, it was great the toppings were on point and the meat cut to the perfect thickness. If you're thinking about stopping here to get a sandwich, stop thinking and start eating.

HUGE sub options that's a 40oz water flask next to an Italian sub for perspective. Sub tasted as great as it looked Bob's isn't about just size the quality of the ingredients all the way down the bread is there. Online ordering works great as well as orders ready to go right at the door with someone always waiting. Stores really nice as well has a very Italian atmosphere this place really doesn't need an introduction. I just left this review as a thank you. Truly a great spot to eat worth the drive even if it isn't close to home.

I’m gonna be honest for me it’s been a long long time I’ve been coming here legit years! The quality is still OK not like it use to be but the price wow I was shocked 16 for Chicken Parm. There is no way two chicken cutlets a little sauce and a couple slices of American cheese should cost this much.

First time here had a steak & cheese w bacon large size sub. It was packed with meat and bacon. I couldn’t stop eating it, thus no picture lol. I want to try more things here. Good bread, great quality steak and good bacon portions. Definitely on point!! The only down side is that you can’t eat there. Takeout only, so I ate in the car.

We visited Bob's from Maine today. My God. I'm coming back to Boston/Medford every chance I get. This place has such good sandwiches and everything behind the counter looked so yummy. Aside from the subs we had stuffed peppers, pasta salad, and my personal favorite, the Arancini which was so good that I went back in and ordered 2 more for tomorrow after my hubby and I split one . The staff was so nice, the service was quick on a Friday night, and the price was super affordable! I'm in love
