Books-A-Million

The inside of the store always seems neat and well kept. Not so much for the bathrooms. The staff is polite and helpful but not annoyingly helpful (a plus imo). They have a pretty wide selection and offer to order anything they don't have. The coffee is alright (I had a mocha). The bathrooms could really use some help though. They look and feel dated and dirty, they often don't have toilet paper. Everything else is fine though.

Place is nice and affordable. A book lovers dream. They buy books and CDs as well. Makes it feel even more affordable due to this.

Best chain brick and mortar book store I have been to. Would highly reccomend going in if even just to have a cup of coffee which for being a no name coffee company they make an awesome cup off coffee/foo-foo drinks [I couldn't think of a better word for it]

I was not happy with my experience today. There were four workers and they were all congregated behind the register. Never came out when I needed help. Also I was unaware of their return policy. I can understand if you don't have a receipt you can't return something, but then the worker said they would exchange...as long as you had a receipt. I wouldn't exchange a book for the same book so this made no sense to me. When I asked if we could exchange one book for another in the same series I was told no. They just weren't very helpful and honestly the store was a mess. Too much merchandise in a small area. I wish we had more options in town.

I went to Books-A-Million to talk to the manager about bringing my book from their website into their store so I could do a local book signing. He was very helpful in explaining the process.
