We were visiting New Orleans on a post-cruise stay. Wanted to do something romantic for the wife so I made arrangements to eat at Boucherie. We were staying in the French quarter and rode the cable car out to their location and had a very nice romantic dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The place is very small. A small dining room inside of a small house and two tables on the front porch and a small patio area. And evening ride down St Charles with Christmas lights and the houses and homes and a very romantic dinner location was excellent. Make a reservation first though as we didn't have one and they scrambled trying to make a place for us. But they did and it was very very nice.
Spent a very enjoyable evening in this alternative part of New Orleans. Sadly we couldn’t get a table outside ask ahead we learned. Seemingly we missed out on an amuse bouche everyone around us got but you could tell the staff were down a member or two. All was forgiven with the quality of the dishes which were bang on what we were hoping for. Unique, tasty and well worth the drive from the French Quarter. Very happy.
Came in town for work. Our group of 8 caught the streetcar to the restaurant and enjoyed a very nice ride that evening. The food was served hot and fresh and everyone stated how much they enjoyed their choices - waygu beef brisket, scallops, blackened shrimp and grit cake, etc. I will end on one of the high notes: Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding!!! OMG...
Always amazing food & service. Wagyu Beef brisket is my absolute favorite thing, along with the collards, grit cakes, and boudin balls!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: No
A must every single visit to NOLA. Everything about your meal will be amazing, served graciously and beautifully in a warm and inviting space.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
So disappointed! The reviews were amazing, but either they have declined since they opened or we had a bad night. I’m thinking they declined because I got a five course tasting menu, and every single thing was mediocre. Too much going on in one plate, lacking flavor, or just No! It’s too bad because the place is cute, and the service was great, but I will never go back to find out if, maybe, the chef called in sick that day.
Where to start? We had truly the most amazing welcome party/rehearsal dinner for our wedding weekend at Boucherie. People had a ball. My husband and I keep saying it was one of our favorite parties we’ve ever been to! Sara is a dream to work with. She is so much fun, organized, creative, and cares deeply that the event is everything you hope for. She had candles and wildflowers on all the tables, and specifically, got her hands on the particular white wine I was drinking when I met my husband to serve at the party. We also had excellent specialty cocktails that were as good as any I’ve had in town. Nathaniel is not only one of the best chefs in the city, he is also such a great person. The staff was top-notch—friendly and totally on it. The food was outrageously good. Our friends are still talking about it. And, the setting was just what we wanted: charming and welcoming and very New Orleans. Thank you, Sara, Nathaniel, and everyone at Boucherie for the most incredible party!!!
While running an errand in the area, we wanted to get dinner somewhere new. I googled "duck" in a restaurant search and reviews for Boucherie came right up, and with good reason. The duck was AMAZING. Everything we had was delicious and our server so nice. Highly recommend a visit to this unassuming and adorable restaurant.
Simply fantastic!! A very cozy yet lively spot with delicious and rich food. Fries, duck confit, steak, and pulled pork were all amazing. If the food weren’t enough, the service was probably the best I’ve had in a while. Benjamin was extremely kind, funny, and hospitable making our experience excellent. Would highly recommend and will be back next time we’re in town!!
Came for the restaurant week special. The Lisbon by Noon drink was excellent. Reminiscent of a sangria, its light and citrus and slightly sweet. Fabulous for a summer cocktail. The boudin balls with garlic aioli were actually very pleasant. I'm not a fan of boudin, but those were very tasty. The shrimp and grit cake was excellent. Highly recommend. The brisket and garlic parmesean fries I was very excited about. However, it was disappointing. The meat was very tender but not seasoned well. too smoky the fries were just fries and frankly a little limp. The Krispie Kreme bread pudding was wonderfully redeeming. Overall, it was a good visit. But I would avoid the brisket.
