Bridgewater School of Music

This is by far the best music school around! I attended a couple of their rock band performances, which are usually at the Martinsville Community Center. Everyone has a blast and the students get to showcase their talents. Even though I am slightly biased, Jon is an amazing teacher and guitarist.

Jon Torgrimsen is a fantastic teacher. A talented musician and singer in his own right ; Jon structures my lessons around fundamentals, technique and music theory in the most enjoyable way. I never feel like things are stagnating. He has me playing songs that resonate with me as a student to hold my interest and he knows when to challenge me as a student as well. Like any good teacher Jon is quick to offer praise for the effort dedicated to the lessons. Jon has an uncanny ability to explain music theory to educate on the “why” he is teaching a particular technique or song. He is also talented enough to adapt his teaching style to the needs and aptitude of his students. I had a few other teachers before being introduced to Jon and the Bridgewater School of Music. Each of past my teachers while pleasant and talented in their own way; had limitations and were not always able to answer my questions. Jon has the knowledge and skill to answer any question I raise. I can’t think of a better teacher for any age student than Jon Torgrimsen and the Bridgewater School of Music.
