Dr. Shevchenko is the absolute best! I started taking violin lessons at the Woodbridge Academy of Music with Dr. Shevchenko when I was 6 years old and only stopped when I went off to college at the age of 17. I can not even express how much I learned from him as my violin teacher and how grateful I am that my parents had started me in his school. Dr. Shevchenko is a magnificent teacher, a truly one-of-a-kind classically trained violinist, who will teach you not only how to be a great violinist, but also how to appreciate music and become a disciplined student. With his guidance, I was able to successfully compete and play in the Regional and State Orchestras in First Violin, as well as compete internationally in a competition in Russia where Dr. Shevchenko had originally trained and was being honored. I am deeply honored to have been one of his students. Thank you for all that you have taught me Dr. Shevchenko!
