Brooks Brothers

On 4/10/2018, I went by Brooks Brothers at the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets to return a shirt. I told the salesman I followed the instruction to wash the shirt as instructed on the label, but the shirt became apart at the top. The salesman disrupted what I was saying stating that, "that is not what happened. Something was on the washer" and he did not let me explain any further. Then, he told me there was nothing he could do. I asserted myself and demanded either to get a refund or an exchange. He went into the computer to find the sale and said he did not find it. I insisted that I get a refund. Then, he said he would exchange it. He left the area for a while and came back with another shirt, though a size smaller. I was glad I was able to get this other shirt because I like the material and the looks of the shirt. Toward the end of the transaction, I told the salesman to bring to the corporate office's attention the fact that the instructions on the shirt are not good. Then the salesman became insolent and responded, "I don't have to because that is not what happened. I did you a favor by exchanging the shirt. I didn't have to do that because it has been over 2 months since you purchase the shirt". I told the salesman, he called me liar and that I was going to report him. "Go ahead", he replied. I did not even get the chance to explain that I had not tried the shirt until recently, and that it was the first time I washed the shirt.

If I could have rated this company a 0, I would have. The customer service department has the most unprofessional representatives that I have encountered. I sent back some returns and they claimed that they received them and would be crediting my account. When l called back to check the status since I hadn't received any email verifications,they denied ever stating that they received them. They placed me on hold, however I I could clearly hear them speaking about me in a way that I couldn't appreciate. I am trying to figure out a way to speak with upper management.
