Extremely rude, unfriendly, and very slow compared to other ferries in the area. Will yell at you if pull forward a little too soon, or don't turn your engine or lights off fast enough, or turn them on too soon, etc... They'll even shine their spotlight directly into your car if your lights are on while waiting in line. Must be a nightmare for people that haven't been on the ferry before and don't know all the rules. Avoid if you can.

It's free and open 24 hours, unless it's icy or high water on the Illinois River. Had a difficult time finding information on its status. Crew very professional.

Free ferry across the Illinois River to continue your trip on the River Road. Wait times aren't bad even if you catch it as it pulls away, and did I mention it's free?
