DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. The car this place rented us was unsafe and did not have current tags. This engine light was on to service engine and the tire light was on because there was 2 screws in the tires. The interior was filthy as well. The management is unprofessional and unhelpful. Will never use this place again
As a long time Avis/Budget renter for business travel, I was disappointed at the overall condition of the car we rented. The car had small dents and scratches on virtually every surface. It was not well cleaned outside, and the windshield was hazy from not being cleaned on the inside. The Upland, California "franchisee" should step up their game on cleaning their cars.
One star is not low enough. I booked a car two weeks in advance for an out of state trip. When I got to the location the girl told me they didn't have my SUV available. I asked her how is that possible when I reserved so far in advance. She said she would call another location and did. She then proceeded to tell me I would have to drive to the other location and it would be $200 more! Now here I am, supposed to be leaving out of state in the morning with no car. When I asked her how they justify charging $200 additional for the exact car type I reserved she became extremely rude. I told her she didn't need to have attitude as this was definitely the error of the company . She began screaming. YES. Screaming telling me to get the f out of the store. I asked for her name which she wouldn't provide. I asked her for the managers name and she said she was the manager. I could not believe it. I was beyond disappointed and ended up going to the airport where I always get great service. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! They need a major overhaul or should just be shut down
I had a beyond terrible experience here. The lady who works here most of the time and is there thur may 13th in the morning was rude from the first interaction. They then did not have the suv I ordered. Only a minivan. I checked it out and it was filthy. I asked her if its going to be cleaned. She said no shes the only one here. I would have to clean it by hand myself across the street. I told her I put a lot of energy and money into my day and them not having the suv and then me having to wash the minivan. She said I dont want to hear your problems and issues. I said im not telling your my problems I am just saying that you dont have the car and want me to go clean the other car. She continued giving me attitude and we left. If she was not rude we may have still got the car even though they didnt have what we wanted. If the owner sees this you really need to hire someone else. She is ruining your business and has ZERO customer service ability.
Horrible experience at this location. Pick up time was 10:30 on a Sunday. Got there at 10:30 and the intermediate SUV was not ready. They told us it would be about a 10 minute wait. 45 minutes later they pulled up with a soaking wet Nissan Rogue. The guy opened the door and the overwhelming smell of marijuana almost knocked me over. We requested another vehicle, but were told that was the only one available. Left and went straight to the store to get air fresheners and febreze. Nothing helped so we drove straight to Ontario airport to exchange. Fast forward a week when returning the vehicle - they indicated that I would be charged $40 more than the agreed upon price. They couldn't give me an explanation, and just directed me to Ontario airport Avis. That is when the employee James butted in. He stated the contract was closed and it's just too bad, and I would have to call customer service. I started that wasn't the agreed on amount and that they needed to do a discount or call customer service right then and there because I wasn't walking out of there posting $40 more. James began raising his voice. I asked what his name was and last name. He stated he didn't have to give me his last name. So I asked for an employee number, which he stated he didn't have one. I asked who the manager was and he said he wasn't at liberty to give me that information. Finally the other employee gave me the name Joey as the manger. James stalked off to the back and slammed the door. I ended up calling customer service and had the charge corrected. All in all, it was very frustrating to deal with this location and I will not be back.
I was wary of the reviews but ordered a car for the following morning on a Saturday, they had a car available without issue suv had option to upgrade. Quick in and out with Frank, place was empty. Javier helped us return, he was an absolute gem, took care of us. Made it quick and easy. Would absolutely come here again.
The lady that was supposed to open at 9am didn't come til 10:30am. She gave us an excuse that there was a lizard in her car. She never once apologized. We made reservations to pick the car up at 9am. She was giving us attitude. It made us late for our appointments because they already have modified hours because of covid and we couldn't pick up the day before.
Horrible!!! I would give zero stars if that was an option. I reserved a car a couple of days ago on Expedia. I arrived at 5:30 and they were closed. The sign says they are open until 6:00. I called the customer service number and they had no idea what was going on. I was told I could go to the airport but they didn’t have the type of car I needed. I asked about getting the car on Saturday morning instead and was quoted more for a day less. What a waste of time!
Worst service ever. I reserved a car yesterday. Came in first thing to find they have no cars. The black girl who runs the rental left me outside though they were open and when I explained I was stranded now and needed a car. Did nothing to try and find me a car. I mentioned the bad reviews. And her reply was "I don't care". You have been warned. Don't rent here.
Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Made an online reservation and arrived to pick up the car only to be told by the incredibly rude woman at the counter that there were no cars available. The woman in line ahead of me was told that she could have a car but would have to pay more than her rental confirmation. When I asked if they had to honor the rental confirmation price, the Budget woman told me "I am not speaking to you." Her rudeness and unprofessionalism to the customers was unacceptable. She showed no sign of being apologetic. I warn you to not rent a car from this location! They need a major overhaul of customer service.
