This place is amazing and I feel so lucky they are just down the street from our office. It serves Tuscan soul food and the owner is from Tuscany. You definitely feel like you are eating real Italian food when you eat there. I'm sure everything is as amazing as my favorite dishes, but I can't seem to ever order anything different because I would be sad to not have the gnocchi, fried dough and salad. I'm sad they are not open for lunch any more because that was very difficult, but business is slow for restaurants in the neighborhood during weekdays.
Great restaurant with a curated Tuscan Italian menu. Plates tend to err on the smaller side, so you may want to make sure you have an appetizer or sides. Overall the food was fresh and the pastas delicious.
A great little Tuscan restaurant in SE. we had a couple drinks that were well made. split a Radicchio salad and had two entrees. The Florentine style Pork Loin and the Braised Rabbit. The rabbit is the best thing on the menu.
Small interesting venue with very average food! Our party of 10 arrived at 7pm. By the time we ordered there were already limited numbers of specials left. The bread was dense and largely tasteless. Plain olive oil to dip the bread. I was able to order one of their specials, a stuffed squid over a broccoli raab mixture. The stuffed squid was largely tasteless! And, they only accept 4 credit cards per table. We needed 6! That led to a lengthy process of coming up with enough cash to cover beyond the 4 cards. Overall not impressed enough to go back.
Wonderful and flavourful Tuscan food. Great wine selection and fantastic patio in the back, perfect for a bottle amongst friends during the summer. Simple yet elegant Italian comfort food. Well executed and well served.
Absolutely fantastic authentic delicious food and a whole negroni cocktail menu!
That's how we felt from the moment we walked in the door. Our table wasn't quite ready, but the owner and staff mobilized to make us very comfortable for the few minutes we had to wait before being escorted to a beautiful seating area in the back. The wine and food were outstanding. We savored several smaller plates and enjoyed excellent service throughout. Delightful in every respect!
Great flavors! I brought my husband who is from Italy and he really enjoyed his meal.
Great food! We came here as part of Portland Dining Month and actually ended up just ordering from the regular menu. We chose this place because an Italian food maker told us that this was the most authentic Italian restaurant in Portland. The food was really good. It was unique and not something I really had before. The service was also wonderful - helpful and courteous.
Intimate and delicious. A special place on Clinton for a little fancier dinner than my norm. The food is flavorful and the wine is nice. I’ve been at least three times and it’s especially a favorite on a cold night when it gets dark at 5pm. I can’t wait to go again.
