Busch Shooting Range

Very clean, well run, and inexpensive range. Was at the rifle range and glad to see that all booths are under shade. Target placement for 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards is made very simple. Free targets. It takes a bit to get used to the rules, but the staff were helpful and patient. Wish we had something like this in Minnesota!

New facility is very nice. Some of the staff can be a little over-zealous at times. I can't say that I blame them, this is firearms we're talking about. But most staff (even the over-zealous ones) are generally knowledgeable and more than willing provide help and/or advice. The only slight complaint I have would be that they retained the original configuration. Unlike Jay Henges, where all lanes start at 7 yards and go out to 100 yards. The Busch facility has a "pistol side" that starts at 7 yards and goes out to 50 yards and a "rifle side" that starts at 25 yards and goes out to 100 yards. Minor inconvenience if you wanted to shoot your handgun and a rifle. Also remember: a cease fire is called every 15 minutes on the nose. Meaning 10:00,10:15,10:30,10:45, etc. So the faster everyone changes their target, the more time you have to shoot. So don't stand out on the range analyzing your shot placement with your buddies. Get your target changed and get back to the firing line and then discuss it.

Easy, safe place to shoot. Self check-in, $3/hr for a lane. Cease-fire is every 15 min but goes quick if you change your target and get off the range. They have ear and eye protection if you have unprepared guests. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Love this place. Top notch shooting facility. Very friendly staff ensuring that everyone stays safe and adheres to the rules. I take both my kids there to shoot and have never felt like they might be unsafe.

Range had been completely rebuilt and has great facilities. Range rules are a little too restrictive. No holsters, 3 seconds between shots, and they stop for 10 minutes every 15 to post targets.
