Perhaps it was the time of day. Was in and out, not crowded at all. The machines are dated but the up side to this is, the machines thirty years ago gave you a longer wash.. result cleaner clothes... as opposed to the newer ones today which give you a much shorter cycle and need to be washed again. The pricing accompany the machines. I'd go here anytime and everytime.
Its local, small but spacious, always clean, Asian mother and son business.. good spirits My clothes be smelling soooo good .. but that's washing skills all on Me and My " Mean Wife! " ..
gets the job done. Uses quarters, some seating. It's not the best but theres definitely been worse. Pretty nice place.
All of their machines is clean and work properly, it's hardly crowded, very comfortable welcoming and clean. They do drop offs and dry cleaning also....
I cannot recommend this laundromat at all. There are laundry services on every block around here. Just go somewhere else. I can especially recommend Abdulaziz's S.H.F.F. Laundromat at the South-East corner of the intersection of Throop Avenue and Halsey Street. Here are a few reasons why I cannot recommend Busy Corner at all: 1 The owners are not honest and constantly try to overcharge. One time the lady wanted to charge me for 12 pounds, before I went to the scales in the backroom myself to show her that my laundry weighs only 9 pounds. Abdulaziz, on the other hand, is very friendly and honest. His scales are also in the main room, so that customers can check the accuracy directly. 2 They overcharge for the dry-cleaning service and don't even clean the clothes properly. For example, they charge $3 for cleaning a shirt. The last shirt I gave them to clean came back with the same sweat stains that I wanted to get rid off and still smelled and looked worn. 3 The owners are Chinese and speak almost no English - not even the basic requirements for their job, which of course makes especially the dropoff service quite difficult/risky. One day I asked if they could hang-dry certain pieces of clothes which I put in a separate bag. The guy said no, so before they could ruin my clothes I rather took it somewhere else. That was, in fact, when I discovered Abdulaziz's place who understood what I was worried about he speaks good English and happily hang-dried my clothes for me. 4 The owners are simply not very friendly. Of course, part of it is a language barrier, but I've never seen them smile. I've seen them shout at people quite a few times, though. Again: Do not go here - especially not for the dropoff service or dry-cleaning. Use one of the many other laundromats in this area instead. I've praised Abdulaziz quite a bit, but I can also recommend others such as the Chinese lady at Lucky Laundromat on Monroe Street, West of the intersection with Marcus Garvey Boulevard.
Owner was rude and unnecessarily impatient
Sunday Landry
Don’t support this laundromat. The staff is rude, the older lady and the young guy. Accused me of trying to cheat them out of a $1.50, so they got an extra $1.50 out of me. I’ll travel farther to put my money in other laundromats.
Very clean and convenient and dropoff service and cleaners are great as well
We currently open. Back to normal hour. We do drop off, dry clean and self Service.
