Rubys Laundromat

I love this place. Granted, I've had terrible laundry experiences the last few years prior to coming here, but I'm astonished that I can do my laundry in 1 hour. Someone said their clothes aren't clean after, mine are ALWAYS sparkling clean so I have no idea what that person is talking about. Also I think the dropoff prices are reasonable.... $20 for a fairly big bag of laundry seems great to me. And they can turn it around same day.... again maybe I've had bad laundry experiences esp. in Manhattan. Regardless. These lovely people do a great job! I so appreciate them.

The prices have increased for a wash $3.25 is now the cheapest. The time for a wash has been reduced to only 19 mins. I think before it was 24 or 23 mins.

I have no idea why this laundromat has more than 4 stars. Usually there are drunks drinking right outside and they often come in loud as hell to talk to the attendant. My clothes never look or feel clean after a wash and I ensure my clothes don't go above the suggested line. The wash is only 19 minutes so of course that can't clean a load properly. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

LOST MY LAUNDRY TWICE. This last time they actually gave me someone else’s laundry. I returned it only to have them tell me I picked up extra laundry. Please stay away from this place no accountability for when they lose your laundry. Employees lie. Owner does not take any responsibility for lost laundry.

Drop off is extremely overpriced. $35 for two laundry bags. Attendant was rude and couldn’t be bothered to be helpful. We came back almost 6 hours later and our laundry wasn’t even fully folded. Not coming back here. I do not recommend this place.

Clean, comfortable except for weak or no A/C, and thoroughly maintained. Coin-operated with change machine. Washers are $2.50, $3.50, or $5. The $5 machines are gigantic. Drying is $0.25 per 7 or 8 minutes varies randomly. Open late, 3 AM, except Tues/Weds. Several folding counters are available and you can probably get one all to yourself during off-hours. Ice cream bars are available onsite for $1-$2 if you want one.

Quite small but always very clean and the hours of operation is very accommodating. No fan/AC during the summer nor heat during the winter hence the 4 stars only. Overall good for what it is.

The staff at rubys laundromat are customer friendly and the place is always clean and they are open late which is a plus for me to do my laundry at nights after work

Some of the workers can come off a little rude but they get my laundry done the same day and fold everything nicely all at a good cost.

Nice spot at the intersection of Tompkins and Monroe. I am a morning person, so this was perfect match; 6am Sunday laundry. What! What!!
