Buttonwood Campground

This campground used to be so much better before the owners got greedy. They removed a lot of the natural landscape to make room for more sites. Their prices seem to go up every year. It's a lot better if you have little kids but if not, there's not much to do. It is right on the Juniata river so there's fishing, kayaking, swimming, etc. when it isn't too fast or high.

We just returned from an awesome weekend at Buttonwood. We had a large group of 27 with 9 kids. The campground was beautiful and the staff was accommodating. The week prior and over the weekend had rain everyday so flooding was a little inconvient or so we thought. The kids knew exactly what to do and had a blast jumping, running and bike riding through the puddles. The only negative and it was more of an incovience than a problem was the bounce pillow. We had a large group with people checking in at different times. After we checked in we tried to take some of the kids to the bounce pillow to eke the occupied while their parent set up but was turned away since they hadn’t checked in and bought the bands. All in all it is a great campground and I can’t wait to visit again.

We spent Mother's Day weekend at Buttonwood and we're very happy with our stay. It is obvious at first glance that the owners and employees take pride in keeping this place in very nice shape.

We've been from Maine to California. And this place is by far the best we've been too. The staff and owners were phenomenal. Landscape is absolutely beautiful.
