Had a great time when we stayed here in the fall. Clean park, friendly staff, and great rates for Passport America members. Nicely situated out in the country and very quiet.
Only real negative is the park is first come, first served. -It’s difficult to travel 600+ miles and risk not having a place to stay for the week because the park you chose may/may not have room for you. Combine that with the fact that our coach is 42’ long and 50 amp meant we’re even further limited for spots.
So we had to drive through the night from SC to make sure we got there early enough to have a shot at a place. This was very inconvenient and meant the first day, of what would have been for sightseeing, we slept to recoup from the previous nights travel. Even though we were there early, we still had to circle, hoping to find a spot, which we eventually did.
We would probably stay here again, but the above policy would make us think twice I’m sure. Otherwise, nice place to stay while touring the area.

You can't reserve a site here. It's first come first serve. Very unorganized. Very annoying to drive around the whole campground looking for a site to back in. They also need to do some cleaning up throughout the whole campground. Basketball courts have about 3 inches of pine needles around the fence. Playground area has sand, needs to be raked or replaced with mulch. Main bathhouse needs to be renovated. Overall it is a decent campground, just needs some maintaince and organization. It is very family friendly. The best thing they have going for them is all the farm animals.

We stayed at this campground in September. They do not have an abundance of full hook ups available. Our reservation required us to put in the length and style of our camper making us believe we would have a specific spot reserved but we found out when we arrived it is first come first serve and all the full hook up sites were taken, so we wound up down by the river, which is a good hike from most of the activities but it is a great, quiet setting and seems to have more room with sites not as close together. If we go back we’ll actually go to that area again. The sites in this section are very unlevel, so be prepared for that. The playgrounds are a bit out of date and in need of some maintenance and new footing. There is an arcade with several games and they had some rock painting activities going on and a pancake breakfast the one day. The wash house by the river sites wasn’t in the cleanest condition but the water was nice and hot. The mini golf course is old and in just fair condition. The pool was closed when we went so cannot comment on that. With a good portion of the campground being water and electric hookup only, it would be a good idea for them to have additional dumping stations available. Found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Overall we had a fun weekend and will go back.

We had an awesome time at GBF. Our kids loved seeing all the animals and we loved all of the green space. We came in early spring and got to see baby goats, calves, bunnies, and chicks.
There are fun activities for kids (pool, basketball, putt putt, etc).
