"Our CFBank branch in Columbus is located on U.S. 23, less than a mile from Interstate 270 The Outerbelt in Worthington. Just ten miles from downtown Columbus, the land that is now Worthington was surveyed and laid out by James Kilbourne in 1803. That same year, the village was officially named after Thomas Worthington, one of Ohio’s first two senators. Kilbourne went on to serve as a clergyman, local politician, and member of the United States House of Representatives. Kilbourne was among the village leaders who petitioned for the “Columbus-Sandusky Turnpike,” also known as U.S. 23, which goes from Jacksonville, Florida to Mackinaw City, Michigan, and nearly cuts Ohio in half going north and south."

Good luck ever being able to get ahold of someone to help you after your loan closes. If you are an existing customer they have no interest in answering your questions. I have never banked with a more frustrating company.
Had very low mortgage refi rates, the process went fairly quickly, but afterwards encountered a number of issues with the bank regarding insurance, taxes, etc. Mortgage was resold to another bank about 6 months later. I believe they no longer do mortgages due to incompetence.
What a great experience! Brian Knapke is a stud loan officer - ALWAYS picked up his phone for me. Kari Fincik is the best processor I've ever worked with. And props to the back end workers - LaTasha Weiler, post closing manager has been SUPER helpful and has lightning fast responses to my emails/calls. Definitely recommending to friends and family so long as these three are working here.
C&F Bank is the worst bank I ever dealt with. We refinanced our mortgage with this bank, and the process took about 3 months and has been so difficult. We paid our 1st payment with extra principles, the money has been deducted from our account on Oct.15th but till now the money is not applied to our account yet, we are still paying interest for it! Won't ever work this bank again!
My experience with CF Bank has been horrible. Save yourself some time and find another lender. I applied for a loan the 1st week of June. It is now 10/8/2020 and I have been asked for a 4th round of items to qualify. I'm still in the underwriting process. The last 2 go arounds are really weird and I just keep thinking I'm being played and that they don't want to do the loan and trying to exhaust me to cancel. Among the many additional items they have asked for include P&L's and 2 years of taxes for my employer which I've told them is my employer, not my company. I have provided over 50 documents to qualify and have submitted them within 1 - 2 days upon request, resubmitted my updated pay stubs and bank statements because of their delays. My husband and I both had FICO scores in the 800s, we have about $320,000 equity in our house, we have over 18 years each with the company's we work with and considered high income earners. Our debt to income ratio is low and we have a good amount of savings in our bank account. I have been trying to wrap my head around what is going on with this bank. I canceled the loan process and have moved on with someone else only to find out they inquired so much with my credit that I now have a 50 point hit on my credit score. I'm a naturally positive person and don't usually take the time to write negative reviews, but this process has been so arduous that I feel that I have to warn others away from it. I can only think something is off...either they have reached max on loans or doing something shady. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Such a waste of time and energy for both parties!
I never leave one star reviews, but this is a one star place. Complete lack of communication, one person will email you asking for something and a few days later another will ask for the same thing. They will give you a list for "conditional approval" then the underwriter will come back a few days later with a new list. That's not how conditional approval works... I spent almost FOUR months on a refinance. In that time I was able to put a property under contract and purchase it while still trying to close that refinance. I heard today that because of Covid, they can't approve my loan. This bank shouldn't be in business. I hope in the end that I'll at least get my money bank but the four months of time I won't. I've decided to leave out any names but if these individuals can't get their act together I'll definitely be reaching out to the BBB and Consumer Protection. Maine has strict laws against this sort of thing.
I am actually a lender with a different bank and worked with Brian Knapke. My rate was better at CF than at my own institution with an employee discount. I was able to judge the process as a consumer and was pleasantly surprised. The process was super easy and low cost. Hats off for a great experience and unbeatable product.
Headaches - nothing but headaches. I refinanced with them and it wasn't the best transaction but it wasn't bad enough to merit writing a review. First payment came due and I got on their website to set up automated payments. Didn't work. I'm techy, I understand. I tried back later, tried a different browser, tried everything, no luck. I finally called them, "Oh yeah, new loans don't work with online banking yet" Okay, I can set up my other bank to mail checks, annoying but solved. Time passes and I need a statement. Nope online banking still doesn't work so I call them in person. Transferred to VM, no response. Couple more tries and I finally get a statement. September rolls around and I need a new statement. I tried to contact them Friday by email, Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday by phone. Each time I get no response. Today on my second time calling I told the teller my story, "I'm sorry" she said "I can't help you and the person who can is on the phone right now. I'll give her the message but I can't guarantee that she'll be able to respond today." I dread having to gather my tax documents with this bank. Completely worthless!
Amazing mortgage Refi experience! My banker, Jessie Pachan, was always responsible and quick to follow up. The whole loan app process was quick and seamless with their online application portal that made it easy to know what documents are needed and be able to upload those to the portal. It would also provide you with a view to see where you are in the application process. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend CF Bank and Jessie Pachan!
Very bad communication. I refinanced my home mortgage with CF Bank. I pointed out three times they are not paying the correct amount for property taxes. They disagreed and "certified" the amount. End result they were off $6,200. They must have never even looked into my questions. Highly reccomend using another bank.
