Caddo lake

Decent place. We were informed by the staff that they wouldn't be anymore rooms for cars so we were forced to take the 2 per campsite. We were almost 30-40 people, so it was unconformable. By the time we got there, they was so much extra car parking that it wasn't even funny. And quite a few empty campsite. We were also told us they were renovation of the showers but they were none to be had still. Restrooms were fine and well within expectation. The campsite was good and clean. 1st time camping and it was as expected for the 2 nights and 3 days there. Coordination between that many people made harder by inaccurate information from the staff. Everything else once we were there was fine. Good amount of activities to be held there as well. Overall, good experience but wished we were better inform with more accurate information.

A good place for a weekend getaway. its good for relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. really like the haunted feeling it gives on a gloomy rainy day :) good place for bird watching too.

Caddo is a beautiful lake and a natural lake not man made. Great fishing and boat rides. Most see visiting east texas

Amazing amazing lake! Just couple hrs from Dallas this lake is mystical with all the cypress trees . The state park is nice and u can rent canoes to explore the lake. However I highly recommend taking boat rides outside the park. You can see much more especially if you have kids with you. We took Captain Ron's ride and loved it. The lake I can imagine will look different in every season.. but I believe summer and fall will probably be the best time to visit.
