I grew up around the lake only place I go to swim an fish or jus enjoy sunset..i camped at the spillway every weekend an sometimes for weeks...can't do it no more cause people don't know how to not throw trash an glass bottles...I go night fishing every weekend also its beautiful all year round...does need drained to get trees an stumps out from the floods we've had past couple years but other than that I always enjoy my trip at the Lake Darbonne

Best place to catch bass, white perch, & catfish. The view is amazing & very peaceful.
