Cafe Abuja

I’ve eaten at this restaurant and it is by far welcoming place. The atmosphere has a special kind of ambiance to it. The staff is professional and know the menu, and the owners are wonderful people. The lady owner has great people skills and knows her stuff. The man owner is friendly and very professional as well. I give this restaurant 5 stars because I enjoyed my time there and it’s not a harsh environment. I just wanted to thank them for a pleasant experience.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The manager wife I'm assuming, is VERY unprofessional and rude. We are regular costumers and come here VERY often. The waiters already know our names and what we usually order, that's how often we come. So today, my boyfriend decided that he wanted to order something different off there new menu. He got the food, took one bite and did not like it. We called the waiter back over to tell her that he did not like the food and she was able to exchange the order after discussing with the manager I assume. We were ready to pay and noticed that the dish he did not like was still on our bill. I call the waiter over and asked why the food was still on our bill. The manager comes over and begins to have a NASTY attitude. She said "We are not a taste testing restaurant, you can't order something and expect for it to be exchanged" "If you go to other restaurants and ask for something to be exchanged, they won't allow it" Like what? If I did not like a dish, other restaurants would kindly say I could exchange it and call the manager over to apologize for the inconvenience. I've never in my 24 years of life heard somebody say something so foolish. She than began to insult me saying "It's African costumers like you that are the problem". So because my boyfriend did not like his food I deserve to be insulted? I will NEVER return here. The manager needs to show his wife what costumer service is. People spend there hard earned money to come and enjoy food but instead we leave appalled at this woman's behavior. If I were you, I would not come here or I would not order a dish and take it back. They will insult you! TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

During the month of February, I partnered with Cafe, Abuja to host a Black History Month Celebration at Texas Southern University. The food was ready in a timely and professional fashion and the customer service was superlative! Over 50 students attended the event and were extremely satisfied with the food provided by Cafe Abuja. As the Student Body President of Texas Southern University, I am proud to have chosen Cafe Abuja for this event and highly recommend them. I consider them the #1 Houston Nigerian Restaurant in Houston and encourage to try their food.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I drove almost 2 hours in search of some good African food even tho I’m Ghanaian they were delicious varieties & I was able to sample before purchasing. The waitress was very respectful and patient with me being that I was so indecisive, overall timing was great and worth the drive. I now have a pot belly. DELICIOUS FOOD. Thank you.

My experience with Cafe Abuja was really great. Outside of the great savory tasting food the service and ambiance was definitely warm and welcoming. I’ve tried various dishes and each time I’ve been pleased 😀
