Calico Restaurant and Bar

The food was pretty good -- BUT, they didn't have ingredients for the salmon entree, or ANY of the desserts I wanted. The Roasted Beet Caprese was good, as was the Jumbo Scallop appetizer. The "I'm Your Huckleberry" cocktail was delicious, but did not come with all the ingredients, either. The pizza we got, we chose all the ingredients and it was good for that reason. I personally do not recommend this restaurant, and I really wish we had gone somewhere else. It's disappointing to hear your waitress recite a litany of ingredients the restaurant does not have ..

My parents brought us here as kids and we played in the grass and creek while they got pizza and pitchers of beer. It's fancier now and pricier, as are most things in Jackson. I miss the casual version but still a fun place to bring kids. Just less often since it's spendier. Great food, some grown in their garden in the back

First time at Calico. Food was great. Britney was great so we feel like we can call her Brit now like her friends do. The huckleberry martini was to die for.

First place we stopped into after landing in Jackson. As a New Yorker I'm almost always expecting to be disappointed in pizza anywhere outside of NYC, however; this place won't let you down. And say this with full confidence b/c the pizzas were great, the whiskey was flowing, and the meat ball sliders were top notch. Oh, our waitress was super friendly with a great sense of humor. Cute place that's a little out of the way. Staff was very friendly. The bruschetta was AMAZING and really, the only saving grace for this place. The caesar salad was good, but not the best. But the pizza... the pizza was not good. Too much sauce, soggy crust (we even asked for extra crispy) and they were skimpy on the meat. We ordered two medium pizzas for four people - 1 with pepperoni, sausage and bacon and 1 with sausage and bell peppers. The one with peppers, had so many raw, extra thick slices piled all over the top you could barely see the pizza. We all four left very disappointed.
