The Blue Lion

We had a lot of fun at The Blue Lion. The location is in an adorable old house. We liked how they paced things well. We were able to finish the course we were on before more food was brought out, making the experience more memorable as we were able to talk and go at the pace was wanted, not being too rushed. The food was very good. We had the brie appetizer, very delicious, the buffalo steak with huckleberry sauce, a bit sweet, and lobster mac and cheese, which was the best I've ever had.

Bread, cocktails, salads, entrees, desserts, and service this restaurant scores a 10/10 in our book on all fronts. We arrived at 7 without a reservation, but thanks to it being "off season" in May, were seated immediately at a semi-private table on the second floor of this restored old home. Our server, Derek, was attentive and extremely athletic to run up and down the stairs all night to and from the kitchen. He recommended the lamb chops and the elk options on the menu, so my husband and I both ordered elk--his in the style of their famous lamb chops and mine in tenderloin. My mouth is watering as I think back on this terrific meal. Definitely the best meal we enjoyed while on vacation in the Teton-Yellowstone area. We ordered the raspberry and Russian cream dessert as well as the coffee mud pie; both were wonderful!

Probably the best restaurant in Jackson Hole. Several local offerings like elk and bison, rainbow trout, and perhaps the keynote of the menu: rack of lamb. Best I've ever had. Service is top-notch. What do you expect of a restaurant that's been in the same ownership for 39 years!

The rack of lamb was as wonderful as it always is! I am not certain why they have anything else on the menu. LOL. What could be better after a day at the shooting experience? A perfectly cooked meal with awesome staff!

Delicious food in a very comfortable atmosphere. I went the whole meal thinking that the music playing through the speakers was from Pandora. What a lovely surprise to find the live musician in another part of the restaurant. Service was friendly and didn't hover.
