They are truly the best! We couldn't be happier! Dr. Hoffman and Dr. Glass are gentle and patient. They truly care about you. I know that they are doing whatever they can thats in their power to help improve the quality of life in their patients and to educate us on what life choices we can change and foods that best suit our individual situations. They are truly amazing physicians. The staff is outstanding as well! They are cheerful and always patient with me and always willing to help. I highly recommend Calypso Natural Clinic.

I really like Dr. Hoffman and she helped with my allergies. I continue to have some vertigo however and called the clinic to get a recommendation for an allergy clinic (Dr. Hoffman told me if I continued to have issues that I should go in for further testing and she would recommend a clinic for me). All I needed was a recommendation but I was told that I need to see the doctor again since it was a few days over a year that I was in. I understand that if I wanted a written referral that I would need to see the doctor but a recommendation should be fairly easy to do. I just don't understand the logic here.

I am a new patient and am overjoyed at the fact that I can finally say I have a Dr. who really cares! I instantly start to feel a weight off my shoulders when I talk to Amanda Hoffman. She is intuitive and kind. I really feel like for the first time I may get some real answers and start healing. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and genuine. I am recommending Calypso to everyone I love.

Dr. Julie Glass has assisted me with finding the specific issues affecting my health. She has spent the time needed during appointments listening to me regarding my body (where no other MD has), as well as ordering the tests necessary to pinpoint exactly the problem areas, as well as the correct treatment. I appreciate Calypso Clinic and their professional, compassionate team.

I'm hoping to save others from going through what I had to experience with Dr. Glass and the staff at this clinic. First off, I have OHP for insurance, so that pretty much tells you that I am very limited with funds. I went to see Dr. Glass for assistance with managing living with Epstein Barr Virus. During my first visit she asked if I was prepared to take supplements home that day, because I was sent home with 5 supplements, (total cost $167.45). I'm not just talking about 5 pills, but I was taking more like almost 20 pills a day, the prenatal had 8 pills in the packet alone. I felt awful!! Awful!! I was hoping to feel better, but instead I was feeling so much worse. I was always extremely communicative with Dr. Glass in how I was feeling, but she insisted that I continue taking all of the supplements. Various tests were ran, food allergy, fecal testing, to rule out Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Basically, long story short, I was told by her front office, not sure why she couldn't call herself, that I had pancreatitis and that I should start taking "another" supplement and to cease drinking alcohol. Ironically, I hadn't drank any alcohol in quite some time. So, I did what was asked, and you guessed it, I was still feeling very bad, actually worse. What I hadn't realized was there was dairy in the supplement. Dr. Glass was fully aware that I wasn't able to ingest dairy and still prescribed this supplement. When calling her office to let them know I was told that I should just take it anyway. WHAT??? My stomach became worse, painful, diarrhea, losing mass amounts of weight, (I've lost over 25 pounds thus far, and I am not a large person, I cannot afford to lose more). Prior to the last appointment with Dr. Glass, her and I discussed how she was going to call the company that made the pancreatic enzymes to ask about the dairy portion, she was going to refer me to a gastroenterologist, and she was to reach out to my acupuncturist, as the acupuncturist was to assist in creating an herbal formula for me to take. None of this happened. Over a week goes by and still no word about anything. I called Calypso and Christina answered the phone. I asked her about the referral and her response was that referring could take up to 2 months. You could only imagine what I was feeling at this point. Who says that to someone that's so sick? Totally unacceptable and not true. I never once yelled or raised my voice, but I did make a comment that apparently was received as being rude. When I was told that the referral would take 2 months, with the pain I was in, I stated that it doesn't take rocket science to fax a referral. I say this because I've worked healthcare and it's true, it doesn't. So, I'm at my last appointment with Dr. Glass and we're well over 30 minutes into the appointment when she stands up to reach for a book on her bookshelf. When she turns to sit back down she tells me that there is something important that she needs to talk to me about. She proceeds to tell me that I need to be nice to her front staff. Holy cats, what!???? You are asking a very sick person to be nice to your very rude and disrespectful staff!??? I'm so confused, shouldn't the staff be kind to those that are not well and sick??? The two women that work the front desk have an unwelcoming, overly aloof way. Successful practices know the importance of empathy. I've worked healthcare all of my life and have gradually seen it deteriorate. However, being on the other end of the spectrum has opened my eyes to how dysfunctional the system truly is. I did make a complaint with OHP regarding what happened that day. Sadly, the person that followed up did not understand the actual story. I've since called to have it corrected. Dr. Glass, I never asked for a book recommendation, I was trying to explain what you were doing when you told me to be nice to your front office staff. I was discharged from the clinic and asked not to go back. This is completely fine as I definitely was not going back after the fiasco I had experienced.
